I freaking loathe that site. It is like someone said, "hmm, LJ is kinda lame, what if we made something like that that was 100% self-aggrandizing spam and stupid memes and had a site which was SUPER LAME"

But I do understand why folks promote there.

Probably...cheaper to share ones problems on LJ though since none seem to want to pay the hourly rate of a shrink...with everyone adding in their dimestore cures and phsycological opinions and what not. There's a scary idea...mass mental healing.

I like LJ too, once you'v efiltered through the crap there's plenty of interest there. And how one sets up a journal is up to each individual to decide.

I couldn't get ******* to load at all, so it makes no difference to me. I don't think I've ever been to a ******* site, which tends to show its popularity amongst the people I usually hang around with! Still, I'm sure that it has its uses...
