ok. shitty tuff guy hardcore. how about some good stuff? the best thing i've heard that's blown me away lately is Some Girls and The Spectacle. um.. I just made a cd with some classic 90's Unbroken, and then one of the best modern HXCish bands I've seen in a while, Pipedown.

While Im currently hooked on Shadows Fall and Lamb of God, I'd have to recomend Opeth. These guys are from Sweeden and can be as heavy as any death metal, yet turn it into something absolutley beautiful, all within the same song (similar to Tristania, but heavier) Amazing musicians and songwriters.... Can't say I've heard anything quite like 'em. My Dying Bride is another I'd suggest.
P.S.----- I think Sindel missed one..........

I love the atmosphere that My Dying Bride provides. Opeth, I enjoy thier ballads of beautiful moments. thier death metal moments are not my favorite.

And I thought I was the only one who had ever listen to Xandria (a German band from Bielefeld). No one mentioned Nightwish - pretty much an Enya, Xandria, Evanescence mix.

I forgot to mention Circle Takes The Square. how could I forget them? they are one of my favorites.

Xandria is sooooo awsome. I love them. sinse you do I suggest you check out Alarandiia. she is still rather underground, but talented none the less. I would post a link to one of her songs. unfortunate though, newbie limitations.

I first caught their video to Ravenheart, and promptly bought whatever I could find from their works, before I knew that they came from Germany.

Oh, and on that posting thing for urls? Post a few more times and you'll be there, believe me, once you get into BB you hit big numbers seemingly quickly.

SindelChaos, what great taste! Sounds like our music collection. Plus, you love Tuxedomoon. I have only a few tracks but I love what I have. The part of "Downtown 81" with them was so bizarre that I was forced to check them out. I also suggest Diamanda Galas, such a potent and powerful voice..it gives chills.
