it used to be "commonly known" that the two things most likely to spread germs were playing cards and dollar bills. snopes(dot)com doesn't have anything about this, so i can't say whether it's true or not. but i wouldn't suck on a dollar bill if i were you...

Over here it's customary. We shake hands by just about every single meeting and when saying goodbye too.
