i hated the movie i thought the plot was pretty bad and it was really substandard i thought it was worse than the billy bob thorton version of the shining

yeah it was a made for TV movie in the mid ninties its like four hours long and billy bob thorton plays the male lead it really really sucks as a movie although it does a miuch better job of following the book than the stanley kubrick film and the screenplay was written by Stephen King himself oh well i guess that just shows how bad acting, bad directing and bad production can screw up a great screenplay

yeah, it was allrigth for a TV movie, but I don't think it works otherwise. A story about a psychic kid in an old haunted palce.. hm sounds familiar. It was called the shining. I know steven king can be cliched, but when he starts ripping off his own ideas it's time to sit down and maybe spend five minutes thinking of an idea... or just making three more books about haunted cars.
