the six nations rugby tournament started this weekend over here......Ireland beat Italy in their first game and are favorites for the grand slam! yeh....but i guess none of you know what rugby is....well its like American football but a lot faster and without any protective gear.......very manly....arrrrr.........hmm.......

They play rugby here in the states....organization (serious kind) does not go past college level though. Seems to die off after that in terms of serious interest...still it has it's fans.

Well if we're gonna go by straight numbers then rednecks wach a majority of every sport since "white guys that buy into macho bullshit and sexism" are still the majority. Though sports tend to be a good equalizer since geeky minority kids, white bread college kids, and white kids who rebel against their white breadyness can all come together in the joy of male bonding that is sports like Football, Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball...with a healthy enjoyment of thinking of women as sex objects via cheerleaders, ring girls, and hooters chick that serves us food.

After the final score though macho guys in general tend to revert back to their non male wolf pack reality... a reality where sadly cheerleaders are not waiting for you at home, mid-terms are indeed coming up, and ones geekyness (however enlightened) still kinda sucks at times...it's not a bad reality by any means but it's not quite the carefree fun the big game can make you feel.

If that's what it means to be a redneck...then I'm a redneck anytime The Canadiens plays.
