Suspect rang victim to ask for date

Police say they arrested a robber in Ohio after he rang his victim to ask her for a date.

Police say the 25-year-old was one of three men who robbed a pizza deliverywoman in New Castle.

The 18-year-old victim declined the offer but gave the phone number to police who arrested the man.

"It would make a perfect story for the television show, The World's Dumbest Criminals,'" a police spokesman told the News Journal.

Police said the victim was delivering a pizza order to a home when three men surrounded her, took her cash and two pizzas.

A short while later, one of the men called her mobile phone, apologised and asked her for a date.

thats almost as good as the story I heard about a lady getting *****(thats not cool) -but apparently they couldn't find the guy- and the police had pretty much given up- when the lady ended up recognizing the guys voice on one of those TV dating shows!!! She was right and they busted him!!
