What does "Blue Blood" mean to you?

It's a place where I can bring silly talk, like ninjas vs. pirates. I can talk about literally anything. Hell, I'm talking about the things I love the most in a few other threads. Simply wonderful. Finding common ground like that is key to a good board.

i'd have to agree with devil13. the name suggests an 'elite circle'. blue is not extractable from any natural resourse, and therefor the most expensive to fabricate. it's the colour of royalty (the ones who could pay for it's fabrication), and blue blood is a referrence to royal families. in this case it's not consisted of arrogant bastards who think they're better 'just because', but of all the people who are different from the average, general population and feel lonely without this community.

for me, this is a place where i can hang and meet new people without being judged unfairly. in my circle of friends, i'm always "the weird one", or the "freak". I feel like i'm more free to be myself here, and that's nice.

the forum shines the light on many interesting peoples and events, it's a community of the best of the best of the darkside. The elite,The porsche, the Rollz Royce,The harley Davidson Of the gothic community.

Blue Blood has meant something diffrent to me in the times I've known of it and it's members...it changes and never means only one thing.

At first it meant one thing and one thing alone...Szandora. That wonderful creature whose images were found on Blue Blood sites. Everyone I knew in and out of the scene knew of her. She was and is the ideal for many men and women I've run into over the years. For me she is on the level of the great pin up girls of the past. I'll always be a fan on some level I guess...it's been years now and while I may not be the drooling fool I was in my early 20's, her form still brings a smile to my face, she just has that way about her.

As I knew more about Blue Blood it came to mean...Women. The idealized, the fantastic, the perfected, the so pale it was blinding...women. It was pin up art of the modern age without the need of hitting you over the head about it all. From the explicit to the tame it all felt more sexual and more pure than it should have been. It has a lookand aura all it's own that goes PAST the models themselves and makes all the women they shoot iconic...the beauties of their age. This is what for me the Es Gee site misses the mark on and what Playboy has not captured on their pages (still a fan but not like I was as a teen and say 4 years or so back). I look forward to seeing what women they capture in the future and what happens with it all years down the line. It all makes me see and appreciate women the way I've always wanted too without feeling bad about it.

How I see Blue Blood NOW...conflicted. It's much more human and alive than It was for me in the past. The personality of it's creators and models is more apparent and understandable. As a result the work associated it is much more relavent and important to me...mainly because it feels so unique and guarded. It's clear that it's creators and regular models are a bit surprised by HOW many fans their are and what a wide range flock to it. It's far from the typical scene regulars or stereotypes. I appreciate it more than I did before and want to do my part to help it all out...and plan too. Their is a lot I would like to see done with it but I respect that it has not gone crazy in branding itself and selling merch....I'd hate to see a Blue Blood Coffee Mug for example. I would like to see Olivia like postcards though...*hint hint* or a nice coffee table book. I'm sure Taschen has eyed this all with some desire...

The history of Blue Blood is rather long now with a place in everyones mind and heart at some level of importance and joy...yet it still feels intimate and personal. I think many of us forget how generous its creators are with their time...and in the case of the boards...their patience and open mindedness. Cause I think if it was anyone else they'd of nuked this board long ago. I'm glad to see them allow it to grow and evolve...it's only a bit over a year old after all. I think it's only now that some members are comin gout of their shell.

I'm sure a year or so from now Blue Blood will mean something else to me...I look forward to that. I also look forward to the new beauties they will find...

blue blood to me was never about the amazingly attractive girls i've never had an account to the websites. When i joined last year it was a pretty small community with only a few posting but seeing it today i've learnt alot and talked to alot of damn cool people.
