Default Who was Jack the Ripper?

Does anyone else study the Jack the Ripper case? I just finished another book on the subject. (There are various theories out there.) I was just wondering if anyone here has any thoughts. Personally, I am leaning towards the Queen's Doctor theory at the moment. It seems much more plausible then the William Sickert thing.

I'm partial to the artist theory. though the decendants claim there was nothing to link the two.

I've read a bunch of different ones over time. The latest one was Patricia Cornwall's Portrait of A Killer. In it she claims that William Sickert was Jack The Ripper. But a lot of the "evidence" that she supplies is circumstantial and could just be coincidences. Her theory is full of holes that she doesn't quite take the time to explain.

Do you know of something better?

Thats because Patricia Cornwall is a total quack.
I picked that book up on sale for $9 and I still think I wasted my money.

I have to laugh when she tries to prove that this white smudge in the background of one of Sickert's paintings is ACTUALLY 'Jolly Jack' sneaking up on this woman. Quite a stretch when its nothing more than a white smear of paint with no features or form lol

Try looking at Case Book; Jack the Ripper I found lots of nice info here.

hehe Jack the Ripper has his own action figure now!

Thanks for the tip on the Web site. I've been looking at it and I can tell that it is going to suck me in for hours.
