I'm at the craft store two blocks from my house. There's a "clerk" that is more or less the bane of my existance. She's haggled with me and argued over 99 cents. She refuses to speak English even though I've heard her use it. She's one of those people that just gets under your skin like a bad rash. So after being forced to deal with her and carfully draw neon red arrows pointing out where she was wrong and I was right, I'm walking home. To avoid stabbing things I star humming Christmas Carols to myself. By the time I get home I've done a full rendition of The Twelve Days After Christmas and God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen, and I must say, I feel jollier. Much less homicidal, I figure thsi must be the reason for so many freaking carols, somehting ot focus on that isn't strangling people with garland.

I'm with Umbilical Lotus on this one: 'Silver Bells'.

I also like 'Santa, Baby'. I have 5 different versions of it on my computer at the moment. They are sung by Eartha Kitt, Madonna, Marylin Monroe, Macy Gray & Kylie Minogue. I'm looking for others if anyone else is aware of them.
