Phone call movie advertising

Yesterday when I was in the mood to take calls, it was a recording of Samuel L. Jackson calling me reminding me to go see "Snakes on a Plane" on August 18. I have never had this type of advertising. I laughed the entire time. Anyone else ever experience this?
