    Default Coffee for kids?

Does coffee actually stunt a babies growth? is it bad for them to drink? What about decaffinated coffee?
Kaden loves coffee, ill give him a drink of mine every once in a while. But im just wondering if its actually bad to give them?

I think it's bad but I'm not scientificaly backed up on this one to claim it....

untill recent it was well known that coffee is bad for you heart but some new studies found out that it isn't bad at all... after all it's good for your heart
silly... isn't it... when they gonna realise facts about weed too

you should google some more on recent coffee studies.. untill then stop doing that what you do...

I don't think it's too great on little kids stomachs but I'm sure you dont overdo it, just remember it's addictive. just out of curiosity, how many sugars do you put in it?? Inquiring minds want to know

My GF is from Colombia, so when she was a kid,
they gave her coffee at night before bed.
She is now pretty much immune to caffeine.
She can drink a few cups of coffee, and then go to bed.
    And no significant health effects.
She actually has low blood pressure.

I bet it's fine. Children drink tea in England and they're a healthy lot.

I think as long as you aren't giving him like his own cup or some such it's fine. My great grandfather, grandfather, and other older members of the family have always given babies tastes of coffee. Little sips here and there or bits of toast soaked in coffee. And they all drink cowbow coffee and none of us has suffered.

I had one of those miniature souvenir mugs that really didn't hold more than an oz or two that my mom started giving me coffee in when i was in 6th grade. At the time it was more sugar than coffee. Then they started giving me ritalin. Now I can drink a pot of coffee and go to sleep. As they say the Keikobot is fuelled on caffine. Can't exist with out it. It is incredibly addictive. And if you are addicted, and you don't get any, the head aches are excruciating. Giving coffee to any one under twelve is kind of irresponsible, imo. But hey, what do I know? I don't have kids.

I just started workin at Tim Horton's coffee shop and i see parents buying their kids iced cappacino all the time. Then they wonder why their kids are bouncing off the walls. The parents seem to just think its some kind of slushy, not realizing that they just bought their kid a drink w. more caffiene then the coffee they're drinking

Growing up with ADHD my grandmother gave me a cup of coffee no cream/sugar. And it calmed me down. Though my parental never gave me coffee. I just recently started to indulge in coffee on occasion.

My little brother started drinking coffee when he was five years old. It's a long but touching story that I won't get into involving my grandfather, but the end result was a guy who's 6'1" and was a star high school football player.

If coffee stunted his growth, thank god, because he'd be a damn monster.
