    Default Life rehab

do you ever feel like you wish you could completley make over your life? I am having a kinda bad day. I kinda wish I could go to a 28 day rehab for my life, to completley relearn how to function. It feels so empty lately, like im just going through the motions, not really enjoying anything and feeling a little hopeless. I really dont know why Bryan and I are together anymore, I love him, I feel it, I just dont know why. I dont even like to be touched anymore, and I really have nothing to say. I watch Kaden while hes awake just so he doesnt get hurt, but I dont enjoy any of it, I just feel like im waiting for another nap. then while hes napping i just sit on the couch and...well nothing. I guess im just out of passion. Anyhow, sorry for the rant. Its just a lonely day.

There are things in our life that may not be pleasant experiences. In our existence as we go, we make decisions. Some are what feels right at the time and others are the biggest mistakes we may ever make. We have no guarantee in life but death, ulitimately. All you can do is make the right choices for you. You may be at a point in your life where you are expanding as a human being, a moment of clarity as some refer to it. Growth is painful. When you feel like you aren't the same person you were, it's frightening but all it means is that you are at another point in your being. What is going on with you and Bryan, I don't know. You may want to discuss these issues with him regardless of how uncomfortable or painful they may be. Your partner deserves to know exactly what you are feeling in regard to him. There are indeed times when we need our own space and our own thoughts, those are all yours. Your significant other isn't meant to own all of you or necessarily know all of you. I can't believe you have no passion, you are just having a bad day. These pass. You are entitled to that. You aren't alone in your struggles, you have people that care about you. I care about you. Give yourself time to work on what you are feeling. If you see things continuing to get worse and don't improve, you may want to speak to your health care provider. If you need to talk at further length privately, feel free to pm me. Love, Mirren

I did that a while back except it took a little longer than 28 days, but it was the best thing I ever did

thank you hunny, I've been dealing with this for a while now, its just really starting to wear on me. Unfortunatley I dont have a health care provider, and I was seeing a therapist, but she quit (lol even therapists run away). I think I need a life outside of the house, how can I feel remotley passionate about anything when I feel smothered by baby and chores and bils all day? But its so hard to even try to get a break. I also have NO friends at all, ive grown apart from them, and Im in a different place than they are. So days seem so long and lonely lately. In any case, thank you for the kind words(:

Sometimes stuff might just need an overhaul. Your family might be fine, but you might need some things to inspire you besides that or you might just need to help yourself notice that more.

I know, for myself, a while back I was feeling a lot like you describe and just kind of refocused. For a while, I didn't know how it was going to turn out and people close to me said it had seemed a lot like I was about to walk out of my own life.

As it turned out, the things I ended up changing were not as drastic as that, but they made a big difference. I made the effort to make a little more time for myself, not much but a littel, (eating better, reading a good book, conditioning my hair, getting an occasional massage, etc.) and not accept the 24/7 pressure to be productive. I went on sort of a friend diet and trimmed destructive and depressing influences out of my life. I started trying, whenever at all possible, to prioritize my work more by what inspired me most and less by obligations I felt others were trying to impose on me. And I started counting my blessings on a regular basis.

A lot of times, problem solvers concentrate on the negatives because those are the areas which need work. Anyway, I hope this was helpful in some way. I do think a lot of times, small headspace realignments can really improve satisfaction and happiness. Best of luck.

It's very easy for that to happen when you are not happy with life.

Life often becomes a series of obligations.

    Especially if you have kids.

And work too, can seem like an obligation.

    Relationships too.

Life needs to be about things you *want* to do.
    Things you *like* to do.
Not things you have to do.

Sure, you have to pay the bills.
You have to take care of your kids.

But you need to do stuff that you enjoy.
Maybe that's as simple as watching some TV you like,
or as complex as starting a new career. But you need to
figure out what it is that *you* like to do, and make that
a big part of your life...

For many people, 75% of their life is work.
So you have to make that 25% of your life fun and enjoyable.
That makes the rest of it tolerable.

I know exacataly what you mean honey.

my closest friend, not counting rob, is in atlanta.

    the closest club is orlando

    we're both currently sans job

i'm living in my mother in laws house which could easily be mistaken for a jungle or a '70's pimp palace with all the purple velvet and lepord print. so even if my friends were closer i wouldn't bring them here

the only reason i spend hr after hr on the puter/playing wow is because there is literally nothing else to do.

so just know that if misery loves company, at least your in good company here.

thats true, I am very much that way, if anyone has a problem I feel like its my job to fix it or it smothers me, and the smallest issue seems like such a huge deal even if everything else is perfect.
Maybe I just need to learn to relax

ya i know ya peeps r coming from,,,ive been ( and still am some what )
in a rut with my art,
ive been more than fair and patient with my 1 brother but it just makes things drag . after a while i was feelin so draged down .i thinkin for going back too seein a specialist at the V.A.

being a disabled vet ,and not being able to work sux,and wait for things to come your way it a bit of a downer .
ive been tryin to help get things rollin my way ,but my passions of late r writing short poem's , tryin to find a good art meduim , (ive been screwin with air brush) and other stuff, and music .
if any thing just keep your chin up ,it gets better . and if anything else , you'll catch some of the little things in life that make it all worth while .
just think of it as a really borring vacation you didnt plan on ..

this is in repile to PMH and all others too ..

wow, see with the baby, id never be able to do that. Well that and the christian rock lol.
Your post got me thinking that maybe part of the reason I am feeling this way is post-vacation blues...I just got back from florida in july and it was the first week of fun ive had in years, maybe Im just going through withdrawls.
