i like the idea but i think a lot of them have rabies and i would hate to get rabies. i am going to look around for the facts on that.

    True story (seriously)

A few years ago i was sleeping..and was awoken to "Honey..wake up" from a distance. "Dont move"...

    I grumbled.. "why"?

"Because there is a bat on your head"..

"And sure enough..there was a fucking bat on my head. When i moved slightly it flew into the corner..so i took a sheet and captured it and brought it outside..only when i went to let it go, there was nothing in the sheet!.. creeeeppy..

I doubt they make good pets, mainly cause they can't see and don't do too well indoors, but you can make a bat house, like a birdhouse and keep some there,

    a raven would be better

Have you ever been in a bat cave. The smell is 10 times worse than a cat box. Not the most hygenic pet.

it might be cool but being able to care for one might be kinda tricky, hell i have a hard enough time with my iguana makin sure the temperature and humidity is right in its terrarium id hate to think all the special equipment youd need to care for a bat.

Maybe a tiny bat would be cool. I thought I saw something on TV where someone had one as a pet. Kept it in a huge bird cage that had extra fine wire screening added to it so it couldn't squeeze through the bars.

Raven are carnivors, feed scraps of meat or insects or even frogs. as for bats, it depends on what kind of bat you want to keep: for example i had a friend over in Australia who kept a bat- it was an australian friut bat so it was massive, its name was "Rodger" and my buddy fed him scraps from the friut bowl.

Unfortunately, over here they are protected, so you can't keep them as pets. You tend to get arrested.

it would have to be a fruit bat, the common bats in the states eat bugs and need to hunt to survive, but you can feed fruit bats fruit so you could conceivably keep one as a pet.

Ravens are cool but they make a crapload of noise and are pretty big so youd need a very large cage for it. I think a crow would be better.

and BTW you can get small fruit bats, they arent all really big.
