I've been broken up over e-mail once, twice if you count the guy who just stopped talking to me for a few weeks, then e-mailed me, lol. Good thing I get over guys easily.

After a short series of break-up get-together, where it was me who broke up; I think that it was designed to be the one finally who broke up with me. Which was fine with me, I had gotten to the point if it happened again I wasn't going to be pressured into getting back together again. So while I wasn't the one who broke it off that time, we never got back together again.

The only time I've broken up with someone via IRC was because that was where our relationship was... Not that it was going to go anywhere.
