    Default Are you insomniac?

I had a nice evening out last night. It was a going away party for a friend. A bunch of good peeps there.

So why am I sitting her at 9:30 in the morning unable to sleep?

Thinking about mortality due to a combination of personal life stuff and having just read Louise Welch's The Cutting Room. GOOD book. BAD bedtime reading.

So raise your hands if you sometimes have trouble sleeping!

Kept waking myself up with my own god-damned snoring.

That would be "troubled sleep" rather than insomnia; I don't get insomnia til late July.

~suddenly, an arm swiftly raises into the air, at the end of which being one ZeDoCaixao, who nods his head somewhat emphatically, as if to say,"you ain't whistlin' dixie", or the England equivalent.. had there ever actually been one~ Oh yes, I've visited that place on many a night.

I'm still up, but now I have Perrier, sushi, and this weird kinda bitter Italian yogurt I found that I really like. Nummy.

Sleep is overrated anyway. You know, no rest for the wicked and all of that. I have this annoying problem of not sleeping unless I've had a couple drinks. But I'm not an alcoholic. no..

I had a couple of drinks, but they were like 12 hours ago at this point.

I find I sleep best on 4-5 hours of sleep..if I go to bed before 3am ..I have trouble waking up...insomnia, though, comes around more than I like....and I find it's not really the time that I can't sleep that bothers me ..it's when I try to recover by afterwards oversleeping!

i've always had problems sleeping - so now i just keep myself busy for the whole day without taking any naps - and it's seemed to help a little bit - though i still only get 5 / 6 hrs of sleep a night (including weekends)

I guess it's something I'll have none of tonight. Being that I'm awake at 6 in the morning.

Yea. Guess not. I'm like that too. I couldn't sleep last night for nuthin'. i.e. the construction of your LJ. I finally fell asleep and the cat went all berzerk, running every fuckin' where. At least I'm not tired right now. I guess that's all that matters.

    miss you.

Try always waking up at 7:30 no matter what time you go to bed, and you live in Vegas!

Yeah, but if you were in Vegas you wouldn't want to be waking up at 7:30. I know that for a fact.

I am kind of an insomniac, since I have trouble sleeping, but when I do sleep, I sleep better during the day for some reason.

I have trouble getting to sleep as well. I dont need much sleep to function, but I get so bored. El Paso just sucks ass, theres nothing to do here especially at night during the weekdays, I used to go driving around to enjoy the night, but since gas prices have gone up so high I've had to stop my lil joy rides. I guess I'll just have to start walking instead.

I like nighttime drives too EvilNun. I used to do what we called choosey rides when I was in college with insomniac friends. At each intersection someone else would choose the direction to turn or whether to go straight. We found some weird late night food places that way.

Now what is up with the early morning Vegas girls?

Meh. I like working earlier because it gives me some peace and quiet

Also been running every morning now. Have to wake up early to beat the heat!

You'd think with all the partying those girls do they'd be in bed until at least two every day. But I've seen them do it. Impressive.

I dunno, man. I get up at like 7 am every morning... and I go to bed at like two or three am...
When I go out on friday nights I usually go to work still awake from the night before... and still drunk. Good thing I have Sunday's off.

    Lordy.

I consider myself more of a dyssomniac than an insomniac. I can usually sleep, but not usually when I'm supposed to be sleeping, sometimes too much, sometimes not enough, sometimes it feels like I haven't slept even though I have for 16+ hours, and once in a while, I can't sleep at all for days. Plus, on top of that, my sleep patterns will sometimes reverse themselves for no apparent reason, with no notice. There's no real rhyme or reason to any of it.
