What top 3 musical acts epitomized sex, drugs & rock 'n roll to you? Mine would be #3 The Rolling Stones, #2 David Bowie, #1 Led Zeppelin.

    Warrant
    Motley Crüe
    INXS

INXS usually had people arriving for the aftershow but not caring if they saw the gig.. and Warrant's goupies gave a new meaning to "crack cocaine". MC have to be on anyone's list for the first ever dwarf-tossing insurance on a rider.

Slipknot are wholesome kids despite their image. Their 05 rider never mentioned alcohol, but was real picky over the brand of soup.

The bands in the 70's did not have to worry about AIDS, drugs were considered ok, and the bands really were supergroups. Some of the 80's metal bands did a good job at living a decadent lifestyle. It seems like as time goes on, bands still try to party, and still try to have lots of sex, but they don't do it on as grand of a scale as they used to...

    70s:

    Led Zeppelin
    Kiss
    Rolling Stones

    80's:

    GnR
    Motley Crue
    Poison

    90's:

    Marilyn Manson
    Courtney Love (Hole)
    Ministry

    Now:
    ??
It does not seem like there are any standout bands right now,
that really take their partying and debauchery to the outer limits...
Or maybe they do, but it's not as well-known.
