Bee Gees, the song "Funky Town" (the original) - the Flying Lizards, Ladytron, Tiny Tim, the Wurzels.
I would have to say Alison Krauss... typically I like almost no country, and less blue grass... but I cant help but love her stuff
Are you kidding? Country music is awesome. Old country that is. Lefty Frizzell, that kind of thing. Songs about getting fucked up and punching people out, or shooting them dead JUST TO WATCH THEM DIE.
This new breed of pussified bleached jeans wearing pseudo-rock singers can kiss my ass. They'd never have survived Lefty's wicked right and Johnny Cash would have shoed them so hard in the groin they'd be gargling their own balls.
If you were raised in Ky you may have a different perception when it comes to the country TWANG!
The locals... I cant really put it into words... but all of this has just left me with a bad taste in my mouth...
I may be more talkative later.
You not talkative? Are you feeling unwell?
Sorry, but Keith Urban looks like a rent boy, and that whole "itchy kitchy oogie boogie boot scootin boogie woogie" bullshit is NOT country music.
I've had such a damned good week end... I'm just kinda brain numbed.
Rod Stewart
Eminem
Roxette, Mega City Four. I used to have a thing for Tiffany when I was in my teens, but that was probably just hormones.
I got some ABBA on my iPod, also got some J-Pop (Japanese Pop music) on there as well. Funky Town, yeah, I got that on there as well, good memories of dancing in Paris to that song.
When I explain what kind of music I like its like "I like Johhny Cash, but no other country music"
I cant believe I missed TKK last night in SF
journey- just died in your arms tonight.
...oh fuck it...
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
I keep looking for something I can't get
Broken hearts, they're all around me
And I don't see an easier way, to get out of this
Her diary sits by the bedside table
The curtains are closed, the cat's in the cradle
Who would have thought that a boy like me could come to this
Oh.... I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been some kind of kiss
I should have walked away
I should have walked away
Is there any just cause for feeling like this?
On the surface I'm a name on a list
I try to be discreet, but then blow it again
I've lost and found it's my final mistake
She's loving by proxy, no give and all take
'Cause I've been thrilled to fantasy, one too many times
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been some kind of kiss
I should have walked away
I should have walked away
It was a long hot night, she made it easy
She made it feel right
But now it's over, the moment has gone
I followed my hands to my head, I know I was wrong
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been something you said
I just died in your arms tonight
Oh I, I just died in your arms tonight
It must have been some kind of kiss
I should have walked away
I should have walked away
....shoulda walked away...
As I have very little by way of shame...this thread is sorta tough.
I do love me some Journey though.
I listen to a lot of what's commonly known as "shitty butt-rock"
The Corrs. I don't know why but I like the whole celtic sounding music.
I still like Roxette...Originally Posted by Black Spiral Dancer

Celtic rock is awesome. Especially some of the newer bands that really put some balls behind it.Originally Posted by Dusk

One of my many guilty pleasures is listening to dance, r&b and rap music from the 90's. Ya know, like Ace of Base, La Bouche, Spice Girls, Keith Sweat, TLC, Fugees, 2Pac, Salt N Pepa, Dr. Dre, and the like.
I'm with ya on that one.Originally Posted by SyntheticShock
