Have you ever fired a gun?
Have you ever fired a gun?
A bunch of times. Its a fun hobby but hurts the wallet.
Best thing is to buy a .22 cal pistol/rifle with a nice clip size and ping cans/targets. You can get a few hundred .22 rounds for chump change.
is this only a yes / no question?
yes.

No, I haven't. But I would really love to go out to a shooting range and learn sometime. You never know when it may come in handy to know such a thing, that and it may be a good way to take out some aggression.
no, but i'm not opposed to trying.

as i've gotten older the responsibility of having handguns and assault-type weapons begins to outweigh the cool / fun factor. especially if you like to throw parties and move into new apartments every couple years....
BB guns, Cap guns, Paint ball guns, pop guns, water guns, yes. Never fired a "Real" gun. don't think i want to.

yes, many times. in SF we tend to train a lot... i spent an average of 3 days a week on the shooting ranges for about 6 years straight due to the unit i was in at the time.... surgical precision requires training... lots of repetition... now that i'm retired from SF i don't really miss it... i still shoot to keep proficient but not like when i was shooting for a living...
My friend the gun nut finally dragged me to a shooting range last year, after many years of saying I really wasn't interested. I did pretty well but it wasn't as good as I would have liked and I was in a bit of a funk the rest of the night. I guess it's one of those things you should do once, just for the experience, but I doubt I'd ever do it again.
When I was young, I shot bb guns and .22's. When I got older, I would go with my dad to the range and shoot his .38 special and his magnum (he's a retired cop...Boy, cops are the funnest dad's to have....REALLY BEING SARCASTIC HERE)
I've also shot double barrel shotguns at clay pigeons, with my friends. Those guns have a kick.
Never been hunting...Don't plan ever to...Unless the apocalpyse happens and I would have to if I wanted to survive.
sure.
Yup. I've fired a pretty broad range of handguns, as well as a few rifles and shotguns. I'm no distinguished marksman, but I'm significantly more accurate than most cops.
You go to the police range?Originally Posted by inox
Yes, I've shot guns. My first gun was a 9mm. But I much prefer to shoot a .380 handgun wise.
And shotgun wise, I like a 410.
unfortunately the only gun i've fired is a bb gun..lol.. i'd really to fire real guns some time.. desert eagle and a barrett .50 cal would be at the top of my list of guns i'd like to try out..
evry year when hunting season opens. ive fired se several shotguns and rifles but nver a handgun il probably get one for my birthday tho *crosses fingers*
a few..........the tommy gun was cool
it's kinda like popcorn

lots of them lots of times
ammo prices are really killing me
9mm used to be $10.97 at walmart for 100pack this time last year now it is $19.97
.22 last year was $11.97 and now its 15.97 for 550 pack
.223 last year was $5 a box of 20 now its $9
45acp was $10.97 for a 50 box now its $14.97
50 bmg used to be $2 a round now its $4 each
I've been to a rifle range, but I didn't like it.
Also, I'm better with darts.
Only BB guns. My ex had a few and he would use the happy little family with the perfect teeth on the back of the phone book as target practice. I never thought I'd hear my self say, "Don't shoot yer gun off in the house babe", but there I was. After a while I decided to join in on the fun, but then we got busted for growing pot (long and stupid story) and the cops took the guns
yeah ammo prices are horrible it almost makes you think twice about evry shotOriginally Posted by bohoki

.22 cadet GP rifle at targets indoors (5.56 cal, Lee action, bugger all felt recoil)
7.62 GPMG in sustained fire rig.
thats about it
My elementary/high school used to have a riflery team. I was a damn good shot.
That is until those fuckbags at Columbine showed up and ruined it for everyone. The school shut down the range and got rid of all the guns.

"We're totally not going to take it upon ourselves to prepare you from a young age for the responsibility of living in a country that allows you to own a gun; we're just going to make obtaining a gun as easy as using that gun to kill someone is. Oh, hey, wait, that is what you just used that gun for. The horror! Now who else wants a gun?"
To answer the O.P.'s question, though, I've never fired a gun. One of these days, I'm sure.
Yeah, the team fought long and hard to stay solvent. We even used the argument that if there were to be a "columbine" situation in our school, wouldn't you rather have a team of trained marksmen on site who knew how to use and handle the guns safely? I could see where they were comig from when they said "but in that situation the students might be mistaken for the shooters by police and hurt/killed" but all it would take was telling the cops "shoot the kid with the assault rifle pumping rounds into faculty and students, not the ones with the .22's firing off a single shot into some nutbag's head." But the faculty wouldn't even hear it.
Actually just yesterday.
I am a big fan of ballistic therapy.
Fired a gun? No.... Assault rifle? Hell yeah! Probably shouldn't mention this but I practiced on this "thing" called Black Arrow. Jonny.illuminaty might have heard of it on his trip to Bosnia.

At that time I was out of area... I was 9 in '91. when it started and 13 years old in '95 when it ended. And last trained generation of Red Berets in RS, that's how I got to play with it
Were you with the UN watch forces or something else?
JCO in Bijelina in 99... sarajevo 93,94,2000 2001 etc... Beograd other years... spent a lot of time there from 93 until 2002... didn't really have fun till after 2000... never worked for UN though... not a fan.
I have a good friend that worked for UN after the war. In the war he was one of the top guns in Bosnian MP. After he was in charge of security of important persons such as Carl Bildt, Gen. Clark and similar.
Yes. My first Stepfather was one of those, Crazy, Zionist paramilitary dudes that was convinced the government was going to come and get us "Red Dawn" style. So he stockpiled guns, food, and crazysause. I got a little squierrel gun when I was about 6, and learned how to fire it. It was like a weekend habit, go off the mountain and shoot.
Last time I shot a gun it was an older AK47 the last time I went to visit him. It was a mix of childhood memories, followed quickly by the kind of crazy that he was famous for.
