The Cure vs. The Doors

Okay, if I could get votes in this poll, it would be much appreciated... The question is, who is better, or who do you like better? The Cure or The Doors?

My boyfriend and I have been arguing (not really, more debating) about this since we started going out... 7 and and a half months ago. Please help me end this!

The Apples definetely had an inspiring influence on me and my first band, back in the early nineties...
...personally, I've never really been a big Orange-fan, and I don't understand what the orange-hype is all about....

I love some of the Cure, but I hate some of the Cure as well. Let's get real here, the song 'Friday I'm in love' for instance makes me want to wretch. A lot of the Cures pop stuff does that to me. On the other hand some of their darker stuff is absolutely brilliant.

Tough call, I like them both.

I like both the Cure and the Doors, but lean more towards Roberty Bob. If you're interested, try looking for a band called the Essence. They are a Dutch band that say they sound like the Cure and the Doors. This is their ******* link - The Essence

I don´t know how you can compare those bands; it´s like asking what is better, a book or an umbrella... but I prefer the Cure.

I was fortunate enough that the last song playing before I came to work today on iTunes was a cure song. I didn't get into them until a few years ago, I don't know what kind of goth girl I was in my younger years! But anyhow, about 3 years ago I started actually listening to them and I am quite enraptured...... imagine if someone wrote some of those love song lyrics for you???
