Just don't leave anything you don't want stolen within three feet of the floor. my friend Missy has 3 ferrets and one of them decided to go digging in dave's backpack and he even left it in a chair. luckily the worst they got at was all natural cough drops before they were discovered.

Dude, ferret-proofing a house is worse than toddler-proofing one! If you don't hide all your valuables, they'll make off with everything you own from rings to shoes and stash it. Make sure you find where the little bastards keep their... er, YOUR... stuff.

That's good your getting two. A ferret always needs a buddy to be with. It helps them not get depressed as much.

Just make sure to take them out at least 4 hours a day, to run amuck.

And to combat the smell, they sell this cucumber spray that you can use. It helps a lot.

As for names, you should name them what I was going to name mine.. Vin Weasel and Ferret Bueller. :p

I can't do that. They get into too much trouble with all the little pieces of foam we have laying around, we are afraid they'd eat a piece and that's the end of them!

ours only got ful run of the hall if we weren't there. we had a child gate blocking the living room, and made absolutely sure the bathroom and bedroom doors were shut all the way, or they'd get into all kinds of crap.
