I have a daucshund. His name is Charlie. He's brown short hair- a kennel reject. He's smart and playful.

I typically like my dogs small and shorthaired.

I like my cats shorthaired too. I love Siamese cats.

I have an adorable rednose pitbull. (well truthfully it's my sisters) it's somewhat a sad story behind him. he was siezed through a home raiding where people had been kidnapping pitbull puppies, not feeding, or taking any kind of care of them for that matter. they we're just trying to brutalize theses dogs against one another. mine had no hair (completely covered in mainge) & was on the brink of death. however now he is in good shape, has almost all of his hair back (he has 1 patch that doesn't seem to wanna regrow) & is spoiled rotten.

not to be impolite, but how do you manage the smell of your house? (what do you to keep it from that overwhelming "we have pets as you can smell" smell that often occurs when theres more then 1 or 2 animals in a house)

alot of cleaning and theyre not all in the same place the iguana and rattle snake are in my room the dogs come in but they spend the night outside, the parrot is in the den, the ferret is outside under the lemon tree because ferrets do have a bit of a stench , and the cat dosent make much of a mess. i think we would have the "we have petts smell if they were all in the same place but they are all evenly scattered throuought the house along with their stench

It's a surprise they didn't suffocate you. Cats like to sit on peoples faces when they sleep. I would be scared if my child were sleeping in a crib with cats in it.

I tend to rescue cats. My present one is a tiger who hunts mice in the neighbour's garden. I rescued him after he'd been hit by a car and had a broken pelvis. Now he's fine again, althoug he does run in a slant occasionally.

My previous cat was black and I got him at three days old. Someone had dumped him in a park in the middle of winter. He had flu, damaged eyes and cold sores, but I nursed him back to health and he lived four years.

we have two cats at my house- sam and max. theyre both from the same litter. luckily they get along well. theyre shorthaired gray ones. they sure are noisy tho. meow meow meow all the time like an alarm clock. max did something really cute the other night. i was in bed reading and petting him. then he decided to attack my candy bar. he almost managed to get it open! it had a few teethmarks but was still yummie.

I like my cat natural;] Shes pure white with beautiful green eyes. Shes 14 years old, and Ive had her since she was 8 weeks old. She has VERY long hair, so in the summer for her comfort and health I shave her with a lion cut;] She loves it, and I love it too.

Im currently looking for a dog. I will only take the hair-hairless type of Chinese Crested. Whats neater than a dog whos naturally hairless except a cute mohawk on their head and fluffs of fur on their ankles and tip of tail;]

I have a food chain in my house which consists of pets, adorable pets at that

I have a Royal Python called spot....original huh... 5ft and about 3 yrs
I Cali King called Kahn...5ft same age as spot
2 rats called Pip and Squeak....black and white in colouring and about 7 months old

3 cats, 2 boys, 1 girl, two just over a year and one 14 weeks old.....
Would like to get a spider as well but b/f hates them

good question, Camby. i once stuck my nose near a snake enclosure which hadn't been cleaned, and the smell was beyond vile; it was Lovecraftian. the owner beamed proudly and informed me that snake excreta was one of, if not the smelliest kind of poo on Earth.

me? what? oh. i can't even keep a pet in nethack without becoming morbidly depressed when it dies.

I have no problem at all with my two, many cant believe how clean my pets homes are............yes they can smell, not denying that but a responsible and loving owner makes sure they live in a clean abode

I prefer black and white cats, but love almost any kind. I do prefer them with a little bit of fur on them -- no super shorthairs.
