when i was four i wanted to be a ballerina (as you do when you are a small, impressionable four year old..at least i did anyway) but that sort of fell through when i figured out i have two left feet, no coordaination and lack the ability to twirl about on my toes on an empty stomach.

oh and then i wanted to be a superhero. dont know what happened to that one. i think i may turn this into one of those tragic childhood moments which scar the evil villan for life, making her bitter and vengeful and turning her to a life of violent (but oh-so-professional) crime.

I was going to be a Geologist and...

You know, that's actually funny because I was seriously looking into being a geologist as well. I was always quite good at the earth sciences and nearly went down that track when I was in college. Growing up in Norther California, what with all the earthquakes and stuff, well, I guess that sparked an interest. Somewhere along the line I noticed that even though I was good at the work and the theory, I just didn't quite fit in with the professionals in that field. I figured that would be a problem, so I moved on to something a bit more applicable.

As far as the original question though, I remember being in like second or third grade and they asked the class those sorts of questions. I said I wanted to be a business man. I just wanted to wear a suit and carry a briefcase. Somehow that strikes me as humorous now. I also wanted to be an inventor. When I was little, I used to make all kinds of crazy contraptions and 'inventions'. I'm still relatively resourceful I suppose.

Sound like me a lot. My mother still has some of the nutty things I made when I was younger. I think maybe I saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang one too many times, because I was convinced I was going to be an inventor. I took apart everything in the house (which got me into a ton of trouble) to make it into some strange and often useless contraption. It wasn't until I was in my teens when I got dangerous and started building weapons and explosives. Seems like just yesterday I was lighting my backyard on fire and blowing up my basement. I guess its a good thing the internet wasn't available then or it would have been a lot worse.

Hey! Neat. I grew up in Southern California, maybe its something similar. There were lots of wonderful rocks and formations as well, and when my mother re-married, the man's father was a Geologist and Pilot. We used to go out on weekends, I even had a little mini geologist hammer and all.

I had very good science skills, but my scientific life stopped in Highschool. A combination of the discovery that I had number Dyslexia, and the teacher not giving a damn about the fact that if she failed me in Algebra, she would destroy my science career.

I wanted to do the same job my dad does, a train dispatcher. The job actually pays pretty good and you get some good benefits, but then I'd have to move to Fort Worth, lived there for 9 months and have no desire to ever live in North Texas again.
I also wanted to be a radio DJ, in fact that's what I'm going to school for. The French major is just so I could go to France and have the school pay for it
