What's your favorite scary movie?
What's your favorite scary movie?
Nightmare on Elm Street - 3 -4
(even the first four movies)
Well for really SCARY, I would say "The Shining"... I mean, I can't watch that one when I am alone....
But as for sexy cool scary, I think maybe any of the Christopher Lee Dracula films, the Hammer Films. But they are not REALLY scary.
And of course, the classic "Dracula" with Bela, and I also like the Gary Oldman
with One Eyed Cats girlfriend Winona...
NOTLD, original Texas Chainsaw, DOTD (original), DayOTD.
im not really sure if i have a fave scary movie. i like too many of them. i just rented ring 2 * i liked the 1st one* so hopefully i can add that one to it
Its a little unorthodox, but Jaws was a great scary movie... even with a big foam shark. It might be a byproduct of living my life in the desert, but I'm still scared of sharks... something about those black lifeless eyes, like a dolls eyes Chief. Oh yeah, there is also that perfect aquatic killing machine status that always rings in my head.

Halloween 1 & 2, the Thing (John Carpenter's version), all of the NightOTLD-DayOTD-DawnOTD-ReturnOTLD, the Shinning, the Omen, Rosemary's baby, Psycho, the Birds, whatever happened to baby Jane, and many many more.
Showgirls
The Exorcist, hands down.
Yeah, didn't have time to mention yesterday , but it's hard to name favorite scary movie without producing the huge list of titles - for I very hooked on these movies - and could spend ages watching them.
though, I'm not affraid of such movies anymore...
'The Warning' (or so) - about An Human-eating Alien in some American woods - I was very young and afterwards was nervous in open-forest places...
and the Hellrizer..
I like movies about undeads and necromants... occult movies, yeah!
I dislike watching all those gory intestine-full movies with ugly monsters..

as the credits rolled past, i stared at her in horror. she tried to grin back, but i wasn't having any of that. "he travelled back in time so he could STRANGLE HIMSELF IN THE WOMB."

From Hell. I love everything about that movie.
I still get chills when watching "The Exorcist"....So that would be one of my favorite scary movies...
I also like a movie called "They" More of a Shock horror make you jump out of your seat movie...
think jason is cool, but for all the wrong reasons.Originally Posted by Kidthorazine

ah ha...and at the beginning of the movie, so this big ugly dumb oaf manages to get (hitch a ride?) into the city and find the exact apartment address of the survivor from the first film. Even if Jason could speak and read, do you really think he'd ask for directions?
Or in Jason takes Manhattan where he runs through the subway ignoring all the people (potential victims) because of his inexplicable obsession with killing each and every last one of the boat survivors??
The funniest is that for the most part they never even explain why he is unstoppable, he's just a dead retard kid in the first film, and is pretty much invincible by the second movie before becoming a huge fucking cyborg in jason X! ...and i wonder what Freud would say about Jasons relationship with his dead mother?
good stuff!
A little known side-effect of retardation in children is that with the onset of ironic death comes INVINCIBILITY... and there is also something about unquenchable vengeance, but that data is a little vague.Originally Posted by cheshire centauri

gimmie some vincent price
The movie 'The Changeling' with George C. Scott still sends tingles up and down my spine when I watch it. :shiver:
made the mistake of getting zooted with some friends last year, and then watching Susperia... had full blown holographic paranoia while trying to walk back through brooklyn later...
man the sound track for that movie alone is worth the price of admission...the guy from the german acid rock band Goblin sounds like he's totally hyperventillating...only he doesn't pass out... (of course I kept thinking, man if you had a japanese wakazashi-short sword, you could totally hide in the corners of some creepy old european ballet school, and then just dash out an lop the limbs off of snotty european ballerinas left and right, and they'd never catch you or be able to stop you... I stayed up all night thinking stuff like that, eventually settling on the aztec obsidian, and wood machete like swords...and in the morning I went to the Metropolitian Museum of art, and checked out the hall of weapons, and stone age knives they had... along with some amazing chinese calligraphy...who says that smoking yesca makes you peaceful and lazy?)
when i was a kid Videodrome nearly made me nuts... the idea of things coming out of the television, and entering my mind to make me go do things was too much...
...now if you'll excuse me I have to go get some Chicken Fries...
long live the new flesh
