How do you personally define beauty? Not necessarily just aesthetically but internally as well.

ok i got to think bout this one lol
i;ll get back too yas on it in a few ...........
butterflies, i have a almost obsessive fascination with them.
If I knew that answer I would be a better person.. I have often sat and contemplated it. .and i still don't know.
you are beauty BC....you are... touching. have some beer now
I think internal beauty consists of respect, being a good person, not deceiving people, and the ability to have ill thoughts without acting on them.
The reason we have the word "beauty" is becasue the definition is so varied and expansive that mere human speech is no match for it.

beauty is a person who is still beautiful without the use of makeup or special lighting

wait... hmm... I should think about it more.
beauty = truth
Funny, that's exactly what I was going to post. I sometimes find things other people find disturbing beautiful. I was walking to the bank one day and saw a dead flattened hummingbird on the sidewalk. No gore, just a perfectly flattened bird. You would to have had to see it to understand, but it was very beautiful. It made me stop and think how fragile and beautiful life can be.
Anything aesthetically pleasing...
COUNTING IS BEAUTY!
One, two, three, four, five, HA HA HA HA HA *thunderclap*
Hey Count....
Try counting how much time it takes to read the FAQ, and then post an Intro!!!!
Count the days, the hours, the half hours, the quarters, the minutes, the seconds or the nanoseconds?

I think beauty in people is an accumulation of the things that make them different from me. I think there's something beautiful about everyone if you have the eyes to see it. Whether it's an outward thing or not.
It is said, "Beauty is only skin deep" But I do not agree with that. My belief is that true beauty is from the soul of a person. True, Outward beauty is pleasing to see, but if that person has a rotted soul, and the personality of a horses ass, it is only outward. But I find a person with the beautiful soul more along the lines of relationship quality. Who wants a "Trophy" for a mate rather than someone to be intellectual and spiritual with?
beauty is chemically induced ergonomic fascination, some people like turds soaked in saliva, others like 8 year old girls
valid point, beauty is subjective.Originally Posted by Count-Chocula
My deffinition of beauty changes constantly, because beaty is many, many things. You can find beauty in everything if you choose to look hard enough for it.
Ha. This is what I get for not reading the whole thread. I said something very similar just above this post.Originally Posted by Nudemuse
Obviously beauty is subjective but I am asking you how you personally define it.Originally Posted by Flip

A beautiful person to me: Is a person who is honest about themselves and what they truly want in life and from me. Someone who lives in the moment, isn't afraid to ponder the past but sees their future as well. Definitely an animal lover. A risk taker. I judge a person on internal moreso than external. I have to be able to laugh with a person.

I know what you mean, there are times it's futile to try to describe something that just happens such as love or what's beautiful to you at any given time.Originally Posted by Flip
Just because it looks good does not make the person or object beautiful. I've thought of this over the yrs, maybe to long, and I think what is beautiful is instinctual in every person in how the appreciate another.
It is a mix of brain, past likes and desires, and a gut feeling. Something you get for no reason & understanding.
I think cultural perceptions also play a small part. That bit that binds the gut feeling & brain together to make each thought of & way of looking at something or one together.
my rambling.
