Would never change that for a Kasato cake my mom and I made tonight. :P
Vanilla Black Chai cookies! make em!
But you're too far away. How about a recipe?
@ Voldta - i usually put the chai in my waffles but I'll see what I can do
@bill - unuh. no way. my recipes are all secret and most of them will be copyrighted before the bakery opens. When I get the site up for the mail order bakery I'll put in a massive discount code for my blueblood friends, but i'm not handing out culinary secrets.
oh gawds though do my feet hurt. 10 hours on a tile floor and stupid me was all barefoot in the kitchen (to be fair it was 85* outside and i was wearing shorts too). I really should have worn slippers or something....

Bakery? *poing*
I did make a huge pile of mince pies and some apple pies. Baked bread. Brining the turkey tomorrow and getting the home made English muffins together for the Eggs Benedict breakfast.
The Gingersnaps and Snowballs would do me, but since you're so far away, I'll just have to make do with Shortbread biscuits. You can't beat a good Chocolate Biscuit!
sorry honey, i don't have a sweet tooth...... now if we were talking about popcorn(of the non sweet variety) that would be another story entirely.......
Mmmm, ginger snaps.
How about a savoury tourtiere?Originally Posted by VoltaireBlue

I cooked the pork in beer. It's very rich.
I wanna make coq au vin.... but I can't find a butcher that has a rooster.
how much different does rooster taste to hen?
That's one of my specialties, Voltaire. You ever make it up here, I will wine and dine you.Originally Posted by VoltaireBlue
it's what the recipe calls for.... I've had it once with rooster, and made it twice with regular old hen.... the rooster is superior. stronger tasting, and slightly gamey.Originally Posted by evilstonermonkey
I'll be back in pdx in mid march/april.... already talked it over with the club owner, and my boy..... it's a done deal.Originally Posted by Bikerpunk

The PNW does fantastic coffee, etc.
The tourtiere went over really well --- in fact a guy across the road offered me head as a result (which I declined, politely)
