Would you rather go camping or to a 5 star hotel? What makes you prefer one or the other?

5 star hotel, sometimes, my life feels like camping...
Depends on what's more likely to get me laid.
I love sex in the outdoors, but it depends on whether the women would rather be swooning into luxurious sheets or viewing the expanse of stars as a canopy overhead as I use my tongue to its fullest effect.
So in the summer months I would definately go camping.. its the most fun when you have a bunch of people going..Originally Posted by Amelia G
But in the winter months because I hate being cold so much I will take a 5 star hotel and relax in that jacuuzi splashin water and orderin up all the yummy food I can while sitting in that tub of hot bubbly water..perhaps with a drink or two..LOL just set it over here thank you very much,...tips on the bed...mmhmmm
that would depend entirely where the camping was, and where thne hotel was.... honestly, I'd choose both....

knowing how unbeliveably unpredictable the weather can be, and being rather fond of daily showers and indoor plumbing my vote goes to the hotel, but it doesn't have to be five star. i'm cool with a hojo's or the local equivalent.

Nothing beats sitting around a campfire with some friends and some brews for me.
agreed. good grog, good company, and some juicy steaks just this side of undercooked under the stars will win out for me every time.
Camping kicks ass, but a nearby hotel room rented for the use of all to shit, shower and fuck on something comfortable every now and then is awesome.
You kow..im going tohave to say camping on this one currently because all the hotels I stay at when I do travels are nothing less than 4-5 stars.
And havent been camping in a few years now.. Hiking for the win! :^)
I grew up going camping, several times a year, bad or good weather. Used to hit the hot springs, had some semi-secluded lake side areas, camped thru a huge portion of the Sierra Nevada's. I can gut a fish and cook him up so good it can almost make you cum; yeah I'm bragging, but I can fkn cook!
And IMHO, a good 5 star hotel, room service, hot tub/jacuzzi, and no people in the adjacent rooms can make for some hell o fun.
Alright! Camping it is!
Who's paying.Originally Posted by Amelia G

Has noone considered renting a secluded chalet WITH a hot tub and a fridge?
with enough grounds around to include tents, naked frolicking in the woods etc?
I was totally about to say something on this. As much as I would love a 5 star hotel, you can always bring 5 stars to a cabin out in the middle of nowhere. You can have the silk sheets you want, and you get the added bonus of romping around in the mud *_* I say outdoors trumps a nice hotel anyday.Originally Posted by Bikerpunk

Well I love both, so having to choose is rather painful. But if push comes to shove it all comes down to whos with me. Camping has always been kinda a solitary thing for me, guess i'd keep it that way. And its damn hard to refuse a night of debauchery in a fancy hotel, with the wife.
So I guess my answer would be, What time is check in?
I've done the camping thing before (in my teens) and not bothered by it.
My wife would say "If you can't do it in High Heels, Big Dress and a Corset, it's not worth doing!"
I've never stayed in a five star hotel. I'm not sure what the star ranking is, but all the hotels I've ever stayed in had names that ended with either a 6 or an 8.
Actually, I plan on taking a camping trip soon, as a matter of fact.
I'm too cheap to ever stay in a 5 Star Hotel, unless someone else is paying. Also depends on who I'm with. But camping is usually a good adventure for me.
you clearly haven't stayed at the Beverly Wiltshire. They'll put tarp down if you tip them enough.Originally Posted by Bikerpunk

I'd pick the 5-star hotel, b/c I like having access to a toilet and a shower.
I was a cub/boy scout way back when, and I've also been on 9283938982 campouts for Darkon over the last 20+ years, and quite honestly, nature stops being fun after the first night for me. Often during the first night.
My rule now is that I will only camp out if I can do so drunk and under a pile of women (minimum 2).
You're in luck, that's the general idea.Originally Posted by inox
5 star hotel. When you live in an old house without insulation, it feels like camping sometimes.
while I like the idea of the five star thing, I'm just way too cheap that way, unless I've been camping for a while
sorry to necropost.
i like to do both.
having been brought up in a countryside environment its hard not to take up the chance, plus theres the comunal spririt involved in larger camps when people would share drinks and songs around a fire.
lighting firess in a hotel to share drinks and songs is a no no aparently.
hotels have the luxury of having easy washing facilities, no time needed to make your shelter, and finding dry wood and kindling is a wasted chore.
camping isnt nesecarily an uncomfortable experience, when i used to do the rounds on the folk festivals a few of us would share this big heavy canvas ex-british army tent, then line the floor and fill it a foot deep in cushions etc. we've lost one or two stoned people buried comfortably in there.
i kind of miss that nowerdays. i dont seem to have much time for it, and i've been itching to cook over an open fire and some idiot last time i was state side got me hooked on smores
I do not work all week to live like homeless person the weekends.. Most of the time I am camping its paintball related.... as the weekend goes on ill end up in hotel one way or other....
aye, its more or less the same now
milsim or LARP (where we are famous for our camp-site self sufficiency)
Milsim/ 24 hour Scenario Themed games
We are for the most part like that... circle the wagons, add some pop ups, power up the ol generator. The just hook up the PA system and start talking trash on the mic or listen to some tunes. Friday night, its no hold bars fun...Full bar, I break the heart of Industrial to masses at said games.
250-1000 people at some these events its Camping in tent city... you can get image friday in is very fun....
Not to get off topic here... sorry Headwreck what Markers do you run?
who said anything about tents. just find a comfy wind shelter sometimes.
I airsoft mate, used to do paintball way back when but i got drawn into airsoft through the photography, i like seeing pictures where you cant decide if its real or not.
If im by myself then the hotel. Camping alone is very lonely and boring.
If a group of friends is coming then camping 100%
That's a very good question seeing that I live in Ky, I feel like I'm camping no matter what. Very rural area. A big hotel is a temptation for me, because my husband would make the best of itOriginally Posted by Amelia G
However in the hills, we make the best of it as well.
