For me, I think Id like to meet Rudolph Valentino. He seemed to be a great actor, and yet died so young from septicemia, which now in these times, he could have been saved. Who would you choose?

I thought of him too. I have a couple of videos of him, where he did tours of his home, and talked about his life. I believe he would have been fascinating to meet.Originally Posted by Szandora
I think I'd want to go and meet my grandfather, by looking at photos he seems like a total mobster kinda guy, always with a smerk on his face. I think we'd get along just nicely. heh
Very true. I wish I could have met my grandparents. I like your choice.Originally Posted by Jozie

I like this one I have called Satanis - It has his like 80 year old neighbor on there complaining about him, it's so great! Also had a tour of the black house. It rocks!
I have that one as well I recently obtained The Devil Speaks too. He gives a tour of his home, showing his Den of Iniquity. Unbelievable place. I sooo wish I could have seen it. Hidden doors, all kinds of memorabilia. It was just great. I wish there was more out there.Originally Posted by Szandora
Hmm I cant think of anyone I would want to meet back in time but I would like to go back and change a few major mistakes I've made in my past.
My Dad he died six months before I was born. That would be the best.
I dont think there is any of us that wouldnt wish the same thing. We have all made a few major screw ups we wish we could change. Ive had my share.Originally Posted by EvilNun

a kids meal huh? Love it
i'd want to meet Bill Hicks, especially if i could go back to a point where his cancer could have been successfully treated.
Assorted 1950's LAPD detectives...
May sound kinda odd but here's why. See by the time those guys made detective they'd seen L.A. change quite dramaticly. So the wealth of stories they had to tell was unrivaled...even by their counterparts across the world.
True Crime, Pulp, and Tabloid writers of the time always kept a few in their pocket...and they lead to masterworks in each respective field.
That's not what I would be after...I just want that 1 on 1...no middleman to pretty up or retell their tales. Now granted it's pretty dark stuff...more than many want to admit...but it's also filled with the kind of stuff reminds one of how complicated justice is...and that it is alive and well.
Unlike other cities L.A. had...and still does...one of the more sordid histories in terms of crime. For ever front page splash there are hundreds that collect dust in forgotten filing cabinets...much more interesting but kept quiet for dozens of reasons by all sorts of colorful...and infamous people.
And most of em...look like just another boring face.
Amazing stuff.
I'd either have to go with my father, or a very good friend that I had via internet/phone who passed away before I had the chance to meet him in person.

I would've like to meet my mom's father. I think I'd understand myself a little better. Like when I met my uncle. Strange how meeting certain members of your family clarifies your own life. If not him, I'd have to say James Joyce.
Since people are listing family people...
Even though I hate everybody in my family that I know, I think I would be really interested in meeting the Counts and Countesses in my family! That would also be a cool chance to get to visit Germany
My Grandfather (he died 3 Days before my dad was born) and my Father (he was killed by a drunken driver when I was just 6 Months old).
If I were to meet them, I think Id like to talk to the detectives who were on the Black Dahlia murder. Pretty gruesome, and never solved. I think it was back in 1947. By todays crime statistics, it probably isnt as bad as some, but it still intriques people even after more than 50 years.Originally Posted by Tequila Zaire
My maternal grandmother. She died when my mom was 6. Actually, if I went back in time, I'd take my mom with me to meet her.
I would love to meet Edgar Cayce and just talk with him the man. When I was younger I read so much of all I could on his psychic abilities and life, but I would like to me him and speak for an hour or so. I had a dream once that I met his wife, Gertrude, though.
I'd like to meet my Great Grandma. That stupid bitch talked my mom out of having an abortion(and that's why i'm here). She died when I was 7 weeks old. I'd go back and kill that bitch before she could tell my mom not to get an abortion. Heh.
Salvador Dali. Definitly.

A patent lawyer. I would then be known as a very famous and very wealthy inventor.
There are several figures in history that I would love to have a a serious heart to heart talk with such as the Marquis de Sade, Queen Elizabeth, King Henry VIII, King Richard III, Veronica Franco, Inspector Abberline, Elizabeth Bathory, William Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, and Oscar Wilde -- just to name a few. :-)
That's quite a list! It almost sounds as if you were stopping yourself from making it too long.Originally Posted by Lady Giulianna

I would want to go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back....and meet god...And ask him over a cold glass of vodka...
What the Fuck Are You Doin!!!!
if not that then I would like to meet Leonardo da Vinci...Get him good and drunk and cause the Cistine Chapel to look like Gang Graffiti....All the cherubs throwin up gang signs...The two dudes in the middle with mohawks and tattoos....It would be a work of art...
Ok, I'll add a few more...
Caligula -- Someone who was that crazy sure would make an interesting subject for an interview.
Jack the Ripper -- I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley or anything, but it would be nice to have a definitive answer to the mystery.
Cora Pearl -- She was a successful courtesan at the turn of the century. She was able to carve a rather wealthy existence for herself at the expense of some rather rich and powerful English Lords and Royalty. I'd just like to know how she did it.
Katherine the Great -- I'd like to talk to her when she was young and in her prime. I bet that I could learn quite a few new tricks from a woman that was as smart, sexual and politically savvy as she was.
How about yourself? Anyone from history that you might like to sit down and have a conversation with?
my mom's mom. she died when my was 12. she had 6 kids that's part of what killed her.

Maybe this is very vanilla of me, but a few of obvious ones stick out to me:
Jesus
Siddartha Gautama (a.k.a. Buddha)
Muhammad
as much as I'd like to show how cool and cultured I am by rattling off the name of some 20th century philosphers, or the father of modern satanism, I'd much rather spend my time talking to one of these three who have so much affected the world we know [by the way, I am in NO WAY shape or form religious by any stretch of the imagination].
hmmm, maybe René Descartes too, who gave SOOO much to the fields of math and science
my 2 cents...
