Now this is a hard question cause you gotta think about the food you plan to put it on...but by and large it's my own home brew I call...

Katrina is apparently going to be good news for people who market their homemade hot sauces because the Tabasco plant had to stop fullfillment. Apparently their plant and their employees are all okay, but they did have to relocate a bunch of people from New Orleans.
A few years back I had seen a show on people who make their own BBQ sauces on one of those cable food channels. I figured if they could do it then so could I. I wouldn't call it acceptable yet for other people to consume just yet but I dig it.
I keep the recipe secret and change it from batch to batch...I figure one day it will be perfect.

i dont have 1 favorite hot sauce its more like 10 but il give ya my top 5
1) Tapatio --its prety good all around goes well on most things
2) Sriracha-- Good sauce for asian type dishes
3) El Yucateco xxxtra hot Sacue-- extremely hot sauce but with a nice smokey flavor good on steaks
4)Salsa Habanera Castillo-- Another sauce thats very hot nice habanero flavor
5) Cholula Hot Sauce-- I realy love this sauce on things like beef stew

I don't know the names, but I like this one with a chicken on it (chili maybe). It's red and is in a different langauge.
Another one I like has a guy with a sombrero on the label. Again I don't have a name.
I did a search on yours KilLA and the Sriracha is the chicken label one I like.

i have such a big collction i'd never be able to picka fav....
most are novelty oes that are like,death warrents,haha....but some are just very tasty...
Blairs 3 AM is really good but its a pepper extract made for cooking and is way too strong to be used as a hot sauce so i like Daves Insanity sauce I also make my own hot sauce when chilis, haberneros and jalepenos are in season here

I love hot sauce and put it on a ton of stuff. My uncle decided it was going to be his duty to buy me a bottle of hot sauce every time he went somewhere. Even if that somewhere was like 3 neighborhoods away...
It was nice of him but as you can imagine I was damn near swimmin' in hot sauce.
One day he brought me something called "Ass in Space" hot sauce and even I couldn't handle the shit... it was like eating (and then doing something a few hours later) napalm....
I didn't eat it but it was crucial in several pranks for almost a year and a half afterwards. I couln't use more than a drop or so each time because the stuff was so hard core that I actually worried about hurting the victims.

My mom's home made "Kat on a hot tin roof" sauce is great, but for off the shelf stuff Lousianna Crystal Sauce kicks butt. fFlavourful with out a bitter bite and spicy with out melting the roof off your mouth.

Personally, I have a special sauce of my own: dried, ground habenero and diced fresh Jalapeno chillis, mixed with paprika, cayenne, fresh ground black pepper, and vinegar. Very simple. Personally, I like equal amounts of each ingredient, by volume. It tastes like fire, but I can make even hotter, given oppurtunities...
And I LOVE spicy food.
I love hot sauces but i never thought there where so many brands, i have to try that blair stuff and some of your home made ones sound very tasty.

This is some of the best tasting hot sauce I have ever had...It is hot but it doesnt burn your mouth and kill the taste of the food you add it to...AS long as you dont add too much it adds a lot of flavor...
tobasco with garlic in it, louissianna and franks red hot are my faves. I like daves insanity sauce too but it is so fucking hot that itll burn your mouth if you have more than a drop or two.
I always have like three or four bottles in the house at any given time. I even have amini bottle of tobasco for traveling lol
About two hours ago now I gassed myself after nuking chillis in an airtight container to steam them.

man i dont know how anyone can eat tabasco that stuff is mad nasty, horrid flavor. Thats the thing i hate about most louisiana hot sauces, they all have way to much vinegar, i prefer a hot sauce where you can actualy taste the chilli peppers
i love hot sauce, garlic and habaneros in mashed potatoes in winter. itll burn the colds away and scare any germs that think of entering your body (and maybe your bum too)
thier is this stuff that my mom makes that the thickness is like peanut butter, but all it's made up of is crushed up red peppers and alittle salt. whew let sit for 1 week and HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT.
I like simply Tabasco. I like Korean Kimchi..
