    Default Affectionate Names

Does your boyfriend/girlfriend or both have a pet name for you? I personally HATE it when couples are constantly saying "HONEY...."...

But actually some affectionate names are OK, for instance the other night "HE" called me "kitten", which I really thought was adorable. He actually said that something I said was "adorable"... Sigh...

Anyway, so do you like it when they have a sort of cute name for you, or does it turn your stomach?

Sometimes I call my girlfriend 'Mom' and she calls me 'Dad'. It tends to make everyone ill.

You know what else I hate, when people say that they like to "CUDDLE"... EEEW! I mean, there is just something so un-sexy about a guy saying that he likes to cuddle...

Maybe I have just been doing too much S & M...

Cuddle's not the right word. I like to hug, yeah. But cuddle seems like something you do to kids...

'Embracing' feels a little better, but too cold...

Heee Hempknight and I have pretty much our own language. Most of the pet names are as follows:

    Damn it woman
    Fucka
I call him Frank all the time and no that isn't his name.
    Fluffa
    etc.

We have a lot of funny in jokes and silly things we say to each other all the time. I have to wonder if anybody ever read our IM conversations if they'd have any idea what the fuck we're talking about half the time. I tend to do that with all of my friends we develop our own little slanguage pet names and endearments.

Although my favorite endearment right at the moment is, 'You dirty bastard' always said with love.

Me and my boy cuddle. Sort of. Our version of cuddling should be more aptly named "flopping", as it consists of one of us going "GAH!" and then falling on top of the other, and the both of us remaining in a half-sitting restful limb pile until someone gets uncomfortable/horny/can't breathe.

And I give my guys weird nicknames. My boyfriend before this one was Fuzzhead, Captain Marshmallow (or cappy, for short), Dogdog and Not Gandalf. This one occasionally gets called either Rabbi Man or weird versions of his name (I accidentally misspelled his name once, and now he calls me Nicone Francine Postagestamp and I call him Karl Emanvel Koen :p). He called me Mom a few times, but almost everyone I know has at least once. Including my own mother, which was very weird. I apparently just resemble people's moms.

I smell another BlueBlood contest! "Give a Pet Name to Scar".

I'll start the ball rolling with "Pookie".

If it was good enough for Al Bundy (hell maybe even Ted Bundy) to use it's good enough for me!

    I don't cuddle, I ANNIHILATE!

but seriously, I do use the typical comfort/cheesy nouns: "dear, sweetheart, honey baby, etc." but not as a substitute for a persons real name.

If you want to do that kinda thing in the bedroom, more power to you, but public displays of affection are beat. not that I think that there's anything wrong with the act of love and that it shouldn't be expressed... but most people are asshats, and I don't like them when there is one of them, let alone two and the possibility of breeding more...
