    Default Patrick Swayze

isn't gonna be able to do the remake of Dirty Dancing as planned.

But he will be involved in the remake of "Ghost" five weeks from now.

Okay... so. For those of you who missed the news, Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer, and is not expected to survive past the next two months.

Uh, dude, pancreatic cancer is the closest thing you can have to a certain death sentence.

Five year mortality rate from it is 98%.

They told my Grandpa something like that. He beat it for over 12 years. Like I said, I wish the man the best of luck on a full recovery. If it's his time, I'm sure he'll face it with the courage I'm seeing reported on.

By definition, 98% mortality rate means 2% make it....

I can do the math I think wishing a person luck under the circumstances would be the thing to do. I don't know Swayze. You posted it here for some reason. Thus, I wish the man well. I'm sure he'll face it with courage.

That it is, and yes he will, but grave humour is something we all have to some degree.

Definitely. Nothing wrong with it. I just noticed the cancer part. I didn't "get" the first post not knowing he was ill + the movie reference.

He is making movies as we speak, Morning Glory.

Still smoking 60 a day, as well, sadly.

I was just kidding, kind of. but it does seem a weird way to announce that a guy is going to die.
