wow, considering all the reading I do I can't say I've heard of any of those.....a couple of those do look like I'd probably get into them though
i was happy as well as proud to see two books that i've read on the list. the first being the book of steampunk erotica, Carnal Machines, as well as the anthology Welcome to Bordertown. I grew up looking for Bordertown, and holding on to the childish hope that the Border would reopen. in that time, no new books or anthology about life on the border, in that place where technology and magic work, sometimes.
Yeah, me too. i will often philosophically ask myself, "Did i find Bordertown or did i lose it?" which is really more about things Færie and Magic than anything else. the alt/subcultures i grew up with were marginalized and on the borders enough to not feel totally of-this-world.
i was also really psyched to see something by Caitlin Kiernan on the list. i just found out about this book a few days ago. while it is mostly a Best Of collection, of stuff i have prolly already read, i still want it. i just dont need to shell out the extra money for a signed and/or numbered copy; i have around 5-6 already.
