It's not. Exit polling numbers show a high percentage of "downscale whites" will do exactly this. It doesn't mean McCain will win, it is part of why it is so close in a year where the opposition party should blow out any incumbent party nominee. McCain was a surprisingly rational choice.

While I am sure that some clinton supporters will take mccain over obama, I do not believe this woman is sincere. I would surprised if anyone could find any evidence of this woman actually campaigning for Clinton prior to this.
