Default Got my new camera today.

Woo-hoo! My new camera came today and now I feel better.

Here is one of the first pictures I took with it.

I'm glad I have it since I've was asked to shoot some backstage photos of a Goth Fashion show here in the SF Bay Area next month.

I hope to show more work with it soon.

Well, if you'd like I could make them larger.

Looks like a painting. You should show off bigger ones.

The colors look nice, even on a 60x60 sample.

Great shots, which camera did you end up
getting and how did you come out with the
    demo of Grain Surgery?

I ended up getting a new Rebel XTi, since I could use the same lenses and battery I still had with it. I was tempted to get a used 20D for about the same price, but my single EF-S lens and the extra battery wouldn't work with it.

I don't think I found a Mac demo of Grain Surgery. I'm using Neat Image right now, but may eventually buy a second program.

    Nifty. who's the kitty?

I actually found my OLD camera yesterday, my lil sony elph camera that takes pictures using film (any one remember film?) Perfect for taking pictures of the going away party at my mother's house (I hate calling her that) to send recent pics to my far away dad.

That's a cute shot of the kitty HB. Fun stuff. Interesting focus through the screen too.

    Thanks for the compliments.

The kitty is a one-year old named 'Ishwacket'. In a nutshell, I'm the third (maybe fourth) owner of the kitty and it is a combination of the two names (Pyewacket & Ishtar) she had before she came to live with me.

Forrest, I had to turn off the auto-focus, since the camera kept wanting to focus on the screen. I think the screen actually helped sharpen the focus on the her eyes a bit.

S, I'd still be shooting film if I had access to a darkroom and a decent negative scanner.

Yeah, it's hard to find good darkrooms these days. A lot of them have closed down since digital came along. Hell, some of the photo papers I really love are not even being produced anymore. Ishwacket does indeed have very pretty eyes and you really captured that.

Cool, I've been searching for a new camera for Muse
for awhile now.. I've have tons of different formats over
the years, from Argus to Yashica, micro to large.
Canon has always been a favourite, especially their T
    series, at one time I owned a dozen.. T50, T70 and T90,
with the unfortunate demise of AE SLRs and the obsolete
FD mount called for an upgrade.

I could have swore I sent you a demo of Grain Surgery, it's
been awhile so I could be mistaken but just in case I hadn't,
check your PM.. a friend who has a Mac sent a link for you
to check out a copy of OSX Grain Surgery, since I don't have
a Mac, I couldn't tell you... although I do like the PC version.
