There's nothing wrong with missing someone, or feeling sad.
Any time you are with someone, and it ends, you will feel sadness for
"what might have been"... It's no different than if someone died.
The key is to accept it.
Accept that things did not work out as planned,
and this is the way things are, and move on...
But there is nothing wrong with feeling sad about things sometimes.
You just can't let yourself focus on it too much.
You have to live the life you have now,
not the life you wish you had with someone who is not around anymore...
Remember the death analogy.
It's like the person died.
Yes, you can feel sad sometimes, but you have to move on.
