Hi Amelia! Thanks for putting up my photo!

Irish Porridge is really oatmeal, but the old fashioned kind, whole grain oats. It takes 30 minutes to cook, but it tastes so much better, not mushy, kind of nutty... I like it with real butter melted on top!

Yup I have tons of fruit trees considering we're not exactly the richest people in the world. We have pink grapefruit, grapefruit, 3 mango trees one a different strain of mango than the other 2, limes, sour oranges, a cherry tree [can never find what strain of cherry it is we have] and sugar apples [if you don't know what they are look it up on wikipedia, no they aren't like normal apples]. Probably forgot something, no papaya but wow yum i love irish porridge, you've made me hungry now *chuckles*.

You must make great fruit salads! That is so healthy to just eat fruit off the true!!! I want to go to the Bahamas and sing "underneath the mango tree my honey and me..."

I should try it with milk. Last night I had it with TONS of butter... It costs about $8.00 a tin here in Manhattan, but the tins are so pretty and old fashioned that I save them and put things in them.

*laughs* you should it's a nice place, of course we have a general problem of closemindedassholes, but then the island are predominatly like black southern baptists with an island twist. It's sad I could probably make some great fruit salads but I rarely eat the fruit off of my trees, I'm to busy playing with my 4 dogs. If i would eat fruit instead of pizza maybe i'd not be overweight. Oh yes and so this stays on topic another fav snack of mine are oreos with milk ^-^

I can totally dig the cigarettes, just not the menthol part. I'd need to have something other than cool mint flowing into my lung. When they start bleeding from smoking too much i don't want the blood to be winter fresh. ;]

OH no the butter is not $8.00, the tin of Irish Porridge is $8.00. Four sticks of real butter here is about $3.99. The Porridge lasts about a week, so I don't mind spending the $8.00, it is so much better than the mushy oatmeal. Blood pudding.... Ever had Yorkshire pudding, yummy... My dad used to make it with roast beef...

Well I had a delicious fruit salad this morning and thought of YOU because it has Mango, Papaya, pink grapefruit, banana, pineapple!! And I am right here next to Madison Square Garden (I also have a view of the Statue of Liberty), so about as far from the Bahamas as you can get!!!

This office rents for $50,000.00 a month, you should see this view. The river and the manhattan skyline...

And the BEST fruit salad stand in the world... I live for this fruit salad. I even tip her because she makes each one fresh...

Wow, mango from the tree! So they are completely ripe when you pick them? You don't have to wait? I bet it tastes better than the ones you get in the stores here...

hehe actually sometimes i pick them before they're ripe, slightly 'green' mango with salt and pepper is lovely. But you usually pick them before they get to full or else they'll fall of the tree and go smush or picked at by rats.

Fall off the tree and go "smush!" Listen! The mangoes are going "SMUSH"!
