    Default City of Lost Children

Sooooo I finally watched the City of Lost Children last night, it has been recommended to me for years but somehow I never got around to watching it in it's entirety. I had seen part of it before but literally fell asleep within the first 10 minutes twice! You see, I tend to watch movies mostly when I am too tired to do anything else, so you take that and add subtitles into the equation and the result is sleeeeep.

Anyhow, I made it most of the way through last night, and although I'd say the story left something to be desired (it seemed to have no beginning....like it started in the middle of the story...), the imagery was fucking incredible. Kinda in a less refined, less sparkly way than Hollywood tends to embellish stuff....

Anyone else seen it? Do you all love it too? Would you all move to that town if it were possible and start a gothic colony there with me??

That movie was FUCKING WEIRD. and this is coming from a girl who's favorite movies are Doom Generation, Nowhere and Donnie Darko.

That director uses the same actors in each film -

    he also did Aliens: Resurrection.

The gentleman above was the crewmember in the wheelchair. Ron Perlman and the Doctor (don't remember his name) were also therein.

It's one of my favorite movies actually...if you watch it all the way through it makes more sense and will give you more background. And who the hell wouldn't move there??? that place is awesome...if you like imagery be sure to check out The Fountain, Dark Portals, and Cashern.

yeah, It was cool to look at, and the plot was cool, but it just moved too slow for me. other than that it was good.
