    Default Copy Cat Tattooing?

I've pondered this for a while...

If you saw someone with some ink that you REALLY liked, would you copy it in some way?....

what do you think about someone copying some of your ink?....

i think i was talking to jax about a branding i got, and she said someone has the same wings s her....(sorry, i've i wasn't supposed to tell,J)

what brought me to it was I love Volitare's a left sleeve,it's fuckin perfect, it was almost exactally what i wanted in a sleeve, but could never visulize....

now ,unfortanatly, i don't have the room to get a something like hers anymore...but i probally would've at least based one on her's,pending she oked it..........

    soo?.........

i would as long as it was noticably different and unique but then again it doesnt matter to much because im not planning on getting any tatoos (im a stage actor noticeable tattoos can make getting parts quite difficult)

    My name is Michael.

My mother's last name is VonWenzel.

I hate most of her family, but I like the family's last name, as it is from German Nobility of Counts and Countesses.

If I dont get that as My last name later, then I might just make up some new last name. **

Well, it would be a shoulder badge, a Chest Emblem, or Back type kind of Tattoo.

Here is almost exactly what it would resemble, since it is an M and a V.

This is from Legacy Of Kain, but its almost the same way. **

yeah, I totally would. I totally ripped mine off, but that was to pay homage to the person that drew it and the person that wore it. they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

of course it always used to piss me off when people did the same thing's that I did, usually because it was people that would give me shit for it, and then turn around and do it later on because it was cool, and then dump it after it was no longer cool anymore. but I don't really think that applies so much to tatoos. oh well, I don't care. I like mine and if anyone esle wants to rip them off from whomever, I support it.

i kinda agree, i think if the person was cool with it, and you wanted it for other reasond then just that that person had it(excluding honering things/people,ect), than it shouldn't be looked soo down upon...

i mean hey, how many people have webs on their elbows?....

like i said webs on the elbows are gang related here so if you have em you may be asking for trouble from the wrong people over here, theyr not that common unless you are in a gang

I think you should get tattoos because you like the design.

    But...

As someone mentioned, you may get hassled for certain gang and prison tattoos.

    The spiderweb has several meanings.

In the early days, it meant you did time. Trapped in the system.

But in more recent times, the Aryan Brotherhood utilized it as a
sign you had killed a minority.

But others still use it as a symbol of being trapped.
Trapped by drug addiction, prison, etc...

So it definately has prison associations, so if you get one,
do not be surprised if gang members or police make the
    wrong assumptions about you....

I would never copy a tattoo. Personally I'd be pissed if anybody copied mine. I suppose it's different if someone copied a tattoo simply out of admiration.

What if you cut somebody's flesh off of their body and sew it to yours so you can have their tatoo? Or make an actual sleeve? I think that would be cool.
If you had concent, that is <.< >.>

well it's kinda hard being that probibly nearly everything that can be tatooed probbily has been on at least one person.

I know alot of punk rockers with the spider web elbows,,,,
As far as copying.. Alot of ink is old school and classic ie. old navy style tattoos like mans ruin, etc. Or even the Black Flag bars and esp. the misfits skull, I don't consider it ripping somone else off because it's so wide spread and classic.
Then again when you can obviously tell the ink is origional I wouldn't touch anyone elses ideas. Alot of times thats something special for them. I would though pull ideas from others to add to mix together with mine to come up with something I would have done. With ink being as old as it is. It gets to the point that almost everything is influenced by something else....
