One of those moments...
Which is your favorite Bush moment?
the upcoming one where he steps down?
I've seen the clip three times now on the news, and its still funny. I can't wait for his moment to step down.
Ha! I just saw that las night - cracked me up.
One hell of a farewell.
this is officially my favorite thing ever.
it was on the news last night but i missed seeing it.
*watches it over and over*
apparently in the mideast that's a pretty serious insult kind of like "I fucked your mom and gave her AIDS!" Although I think that one would go over well there too, don't you?
The Austin Powers shoe bit is EXACTLY what first came to mind when I saw this in the news.
lol
Yeah its about the biggest insult you can give to a person over in sand land. Thats why kids ran down the street slapping their sandles on the fallen Saddam statue etc.
Think of how funnier it would have been if the reporter actually pegged Bush in the head with it. I'd pay money to see that one. HAHAHA!
"US president killed by thrown size ten shoe, secret service stood by and watched."
That guy is a hero in my eyes.
Ya why didn't anyone do that sooner?
how about "US presedent attacked by hurled size ten show;declares war on shoemaker."
i watched the first 30 seconds like 10 times. it makes me feel better, like i threw MY shoes at the fuckwad, which is really both the best and worst thing i could do to him. it really vented the frustrations. it's therapeutic in a way to see that others feel the same.

the LOLacaust has begun........
lol
we demand more!

One of Saudis offered 10$ million for the shoe that was thrown on the Bush.
I mean WTF! Shouldn't that money be better of in a charity for orphaned children for example?
what a pussy............
Exactly! Poor guy is facing up till 15 years of prison. They already bet him up like in hell and broke his arm. People are rallying for him in streets of Baghdad. When you look at his face you can see he's a mellow and intellectual urban guy. I feel so sad for his fate and fate of his people.
And WTF is that comment in a reportage, "We believe he was tortured by militia before and that's probably why he did it". Seriously, who's buying that crap!? It's very clear what he said. "Goodbye kiss for a dog" and "For all widows and orphaned children in my country". Only a idiot can believe he did it on a personal level. It's clear that he did it for a greater matter.
the flash game was down last night for having exceeded bandwidth.
on a more srs note, if that was going to be my last act as a free man, i'd have shot the son of a bitch, personally.
but what we've really learned here is : don't go to iraq.

Too late :/

it was a personal thing... he felt that W was responsible for the murder if iraqis, women, and children... and he wanted to make a statement... in Iraq it is a CRIME to assault OR insult Foreign Leaders and Dignitaries... his detention has nothing to do with the americans, the iraqis have him in custody for violating iraqi law...
now when you want more of the truth about iraq give me a call sometime... shia on sunni and sunni on shia violence has caused much more death than US soldiers... yes yes there is the occasional accidental killing of civilians... it's war... it happens.. but the civil war between islamic factions is the real problem... and the us military is just the scapegoat in many situations...
now BlackWater and those other "security" companies... that's a different story...
OliX.. you of all the people on here understand a religious/ethnic war... where people get blamed for all kinds of stuff they didn't do...
When I said personal I meant it in a way that he isn't trowing a shoe because someone from his family died or because he was owning shares in a oil company that went down. In greater matter I meant he did it for his people and for his country. I believe anyone from this board will do the same if it was other way around.
I never said anything about throwing a shoe not being a crime in Iraq, neither I said something about that Americans wanted him imprisoned.
I know much more about Shia and Sunnah than you think. I adore Sufism for that matter.
I understand what you are talking about. But looking at cause of this, what is it? We can say it's invasion of USA on Iraq that brought conflict to Iraq same as we can say it's that Sunni's fault because they favored that other guy for Calif than a Mohammed's cousin for 1400 years ago. Or is it gods fault because he created us? No.... But definitely fault of those 4 guys that originally designed the qur'an for 1500 years ago.

I thought that first. But then again it crossed my mind that you might be talking about the guy for not trowing a knife instead
I have no idea why reporters even show up at his press conferences
For moments like this
well it seems pretty likely that political pressure is going to get this guy off the hook with a small fine or something like that. Which is a good thing. Too bad it was also political pressure that required him to be arrested and roughed up and probably sentenced in the first place.
What it boils down to is that the Iraqi PM has to appear that he represents law and order, but also appear that he doesn't kiss USA's ass. I don't really envy his job.
Looks like it's catching on
