As a demonstration of how Rembrandt lighting picks out features and makes a body interesting.

And this does HAWT things to a female body, as well.
I agree, no way as heck I am posting my lit from above shots though - I suck at photography but one of my friends does it professionally and often uses me and other people she knows as models.
Bikerpunk you should definitely keep that third pic. excepting the green line through the middle it makes you appear extremely studly
Well, it's my intention to shed the pounds I need to see visible abdominals, or at the very least EXTREMELY close.
But now you see why me and Goth don't work anymore, I can't get my ARM through the TROUSER LEG of the clothes they make,
.. Wait, why do you look Asian? Is it because of the angles, or are ya Asian?

Yea, I see nothing wrong with your face, or your body. Pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks so. So there. :-P
Well, I won't keep em up forever.Originally Posted by Senior_Diablo

My arms are now maybe 16-17" tops --- used to be 20"

So... back to LIGHTING
You see in this instance how the shadows bring, in this case, the core features of my face (the parts you recognize from a distance, etc) and the various curves and bulges in my meatsuit of a body into highlights and valleys.
I've discussed this lighting before, Caravaggio and Rembrandt loved it. The latest Newswire story featured a strong above and/or side light, and you can see curves and shadows. VIVA!
the art of lighting is a pretty cool thing that I know almost nothing about.
To make this a really truly good light, you'd want a fill light up to half, maximum, the power of the main light on the other side, and a light behind to separate the subject from the background.
GO LIBERAL ARTS DEGREE.
I tucked em behind my neck for these shots.Originally Posted by Syrran
