A job I might LIKE

I recently walked in to the new peircing shop near my house and asked them and was old that they where thinking about hiring someone.
I need to do a tafe (collage) course, but it is only a few days and the employment agency hats helping me might be able to pay for it.

Wat would your perfect job be?

I'd like to work in a tattoo shop, but I suck at drawing and I'd probably hate dealing with all the stupid and cheap customers that make up 98% of the clients.

What i'd really like to do is not have to work so I could spend my time and energy on volunteer work, ya know helping people and doing things to make them happy instead of trying to take people's money by selling them shit.

even the greatest job in the world is still taking people's money by selling them shit, no matter how nice it is and how much they appreciate it, I'd rather be giving instead.

but since that's not going to happen anytime soon...

I always wanted to work in a comic book shop, that's probably about as close to my perfect job.

really anything that would be like the movie High Fidelity.

I met a special investigator that deals with grand larceny and consumer fraud, taking down guys like Enron. that would be pretty cool, but he's had to do a lot of shit work to get there.

when i was a kid they ran a trial of tests to see what your ideal employment would be.

mine came back with forestry worker ontop.

I'm now beginning to think they were right after wasting time persueing engineering and then changing to computers

You could get a job doing public service work a.k.a be an emt, paramedic, police officer, fireman etc. Then you'd spend you time not trying to trick people out of money but by helping the community/saving lives. Thats my motivation for doing public service work in the future anyway.

I guess you haven't had to pay for any medical services ever if you think that those things aren't about taking peoples money.

But in terms of the work itself, yeah, you are right, that's about as good as it gets for worthwhile jobs.

There are tons of pubs and stuff around here, and I dont have to pay for it and its only a day course (10 in da mourning to 10 at night)

Im with this "employment agency" and they will cover the cost of any traing I need to get a job, if someone says they will hire me when I get my quafications.
They where going to pay for me to do the peircing course, but I couldnt find anyone who needed an extra employee.

What? That's crazy! Are you saying these places want $10,000 to take you on as an apprentice? I don't get it. I've never heard of that before. My ex is a tattoo artist (his mommy just bought him his own shop) but he has gone to quite a few places before that and they've never told him they want money. Just that "he's not quite what they're looking for." Which I guess is a polite way of saying 'you suck'.
You could always just buy your own equipment and tattoo out of your house. I know a few people who do that. You any good?

You could always just buy your own equipment and tattoo out of your house. I know a few people who do that. You any good?

1) I would want to learn from people who know what they're doing. Nothing quite like fucking up an important symbol on a Hells Angel.

2) That's a good way to get your hands broken or worse in many places.

3) I respect the art enough to learn it right.
