The term "homosexual" came about in the late 1800s. It was just a way of categorizing people based on private behavior. My feelings? I live in Minneapolis' version of The Castro. Our community is based on sexuality being open (if one so chooses) but ultimately irrelevant.

I don't know how I feel about that test, it didn't make much sense to me and I am very strongly right handed which I think effected my score. I was definitely pressing the "i" key more often out of habit not out of preference. The terms were also very strong one way or the other, I would never describe either orientation in that manner. I think in working in the banking industry for many years and knowing alot of homosexual men in the work place, I learned quickly not to have any angst towards homosexual men or women. Every guy I've known who was homosexual was always very nice, had a good sense of humor, very personable, and easy to get along with. I also will say that over the years, the best thing that's happened is people, in general, accepting another's homosexuality. When I first starting in banking about 20 years ago, the homosexual men and women always lived the secret lifestyle. Never talking about their companions and such. I would feel so bad that they felt that they had to "hide" it as to not be treated differently. Nowadays it's ALOT different. Homosexual men and women in banking talk alot more openly about their partners and I think that's great. I feel that if you only allow yourself to come out of the closet 50%, well, then you're pretty much STILL in the closet being forced to pretend you're leading a different lifestyle to CERTAIN people. I think it sucks that yes, your close friends and family know, but if where you work you have to still hide it, well, to me that means half of the time your living in daylight, you really aren't who you are and that must SUCK!

I'd figure because it's taboo. People always love to get what is not attainable. I do say though that any guy answering this ad would not be straight. Maybe bi-sexual but never "tasted" the other side, but still bi-sexual.

I still think though that a gay or bi-sexual person isn't a moron and like anyone else, if they are attracted to someone and there just is no joint "vibe" there, they know it's a waste of time. Noteworthy point. There seems to be a large population of people - mostly completely style-less straight males - that seems convinced that one's sexual orientation composes the whole of one's tastes and preferences.

I guess it's just projection by people that themselves never developed a sense of aesthetics beyond primal biological instinct.
