The Guitar Thread

One of my favorite past times is playing Guitar. Do to some rather shitty circumstances my 1st warlock has seen her demise. As I mentioned though in the another thread I'm in the proccess of getting a new warlock.

So which leads to the whole point of this thread. What kind of guitars do you guys play, and what is your preferred style of play???

Never enough mirrors is my motto. The case is supa-speccy. Gibson Flying V New Century. That's my fav left foot also.

My best that I own is one of these...

Jackson RR-5. Wanted one for ages and bought it at a bargain as it was floor stock.

Jackson RR-3. The floyd-rose whammy is junk without this special part you get from Germany called a backbox which fixes 'em up. This isn't my one - I've chromed mine up a bit but it doesn't have the cool reverse shark fin inlays that this one does (sob)

I have been playing and performing punk/metal/goth since the mid eighties. These days I also do electro. I'm starting a warped covers band with black metal guys & girls doing surprising stuff like Carly Simon, Kelly Clarkson, World Party and other unfathomable stuff... we're ahead of it... it's called "Lord Mort". One of my fav bands that I was ever in was an industry circuit 80s cover band... you know the stuff... Duran-Duran, ABC, Tears for Fears, Lene Lovich, Echo & the Bunnymen, Simple Minds, B52s, A flock of Seagulls, Devo, The Knack, Blondie, erm.. Nik Kershaw etc . It was so so fun... it wasn't work to me... halcyon days...

I had Gibson custom bass that had body that looked like a Fender's precision bass and one piece neck with pointy Gibson head. Awesome sound. Born for funk.

Have a Strat and a Yamaha acoustic. I just like to play with a bit of spontaneity. It relaxes me. I also have a Hofner Replica Viola Bass. Kind of a fun toy as well.

This oddly is about to be my 3th bc rich. The only one I haven't been able to play is the beast. The thing is so damn heavy. This last one had to sell do to roommate was lazy and would not get a job. Lesson learned never have roommates again.

i play bass. currently a metallic red alvarez of some sort. it was a gift. i have another in va, a fender hwy 1 jazz, matte sunburst.
i haven't played since my mom died, i really need to get back in practice because i do want to be in a band

i no longer play or practice, took to managing my friends band for a stint untill they got signed and then contemplated accepting an offer from said, label to drive for them (they were impressed apparently by my driving style and sensabilities.

Well I ended up with a dean (dimebag model). The price was just too sweet not to pick up. Guy I'm getting this up from has new Duncan pickups in it. Man today was a good way close out tyhe shit of this week.

I like that style of RR. The floyd rose is nice but after breaking my wrist a while back not so much anymore.
