What do you think of that show?
It is kind of stupid, but then it has comments that make it almost worth watching.
"Dont go outside children, you could get ***** by Clowns!"

That show has some of the funniest dialogue. I love it.. so funny. They say stuff that'd i'd say ^.^
Captain Murphy is the best on that show.
hahaha yeah ^.^
I think it's really variable. Sometimes I can't understand why I watch it at all, and other times it's funny.

Futurama is also Awesome:
"The Way To A Girl's Heart Is Through Her Parents. Sleep With Them, And You're In!"
It's even funnier if you are old enough to remember the original run of it...
the whole 13 episodes. (I'm not old... just have a good memory, is all)![]()
It'd dead on perfect...from the stuff that makes no sense the geniune insanity of the writing and situations...love it.
I love Hesh and MC Pee Pants (ATHF)..
MC Chris (Chris Ward) is one funny motherfucker...
hit him up and get some of his MP3s

Where did it run originally? What is the story on that?Originally Posted by HempKnight

Satuday mornings... HannaBarbara Hour... NBC - Sept to Dec 1972
as Sealab 2020... about the underwater scientists and colony.
Very straight and social commentary about how future life would be
because stupid humans fucked up the surface... which makes Sealab 2021 soooooooooo much funnier.
They use alot of the original animation, dubbing the new voices and adding in new animation.
Wow, really. Was the original aimed at a less, uhm, mature audience then?Originally Posted by HempKnight

And look where it got us... guess they shoulda made more than 13 shows.
wasnt captain planet from the 80's?
Not sure I've ever owned a car with fewer than eight cylinders, but then again, I don't have kids.
I do prefer to recycle if given a semi-convenient option and I always buy recycled paper towels and toilet paper and that sort of thing. Does this mean I like trees better than air? Maybe if I save enough trees, the plants will fix the air. Maybe I shouldn't get up this early. Maybe I can blame Hanna Barbara for not making more episodes. That would be excellent.

Same concept for the most part... earth friendly and all.
I'm right there with you... on all counts.Originally Posted by AmeliaG

and we should start a campain against Hanna Barbara
for fucking up children everywhere and not saving the planet earlier
add NBC to that as well... its all their fault.
somebody from my livejournal friends said "the dead silence on that show is funnier then most of the other stuff on tv" I can't remember who it was now but i quote it all the time when that show comes up b/c it is so true!
although i do like futurama and family guy and even aqua teen hunger force better then sea lab (but i REALLLY REALLY like those other shows so its not a diss on sea lab)
In some cases, ATHF has funny comments, but I really dislike that show in general.Originally Posted by skully
No the original ran sometime in the early 70s as I recall..the black guy's Afro gives that away...I just remember it was back when they wouldn't allow too much violence on Sat. Morning cartoons..so they had these bland boring stories where nothing would really happen..P.Originally Posted by HempKnight

Yeah... the original Sealab 2020 was 1972... and Captain Planet was actually 1990 - 1996 (wasn't awake enough when BrightStar had asked if it was '80s)
I watched Sealab 2020... but by time Cap't Planet came out, I was pretty much outta the cartoon phase... Captain Caveman, now that's a different story... hehehehe
Well this 'bitch' got confused by the thread---although I think the only similarity between Capt Planet and Sealab was the ecological preachiness..P.Originally Posted by HempKnight

To summarize where we are at to date here, Sealab 2021 is funny and funnier still if you know that it is based on an ecologically activist show. Also Nudemuse is fucking hot.
you are correct on all accounts.Originally Posted by AmeliaG
