Anyways, since it seems like entertainment now-a-days that paparazzi follow around celebs......and that makes a tv show

Would you like to be famouse and being followed around by the paparazzi every day, ever moment, ever step you take, every move you make including taking a shit? They're getting that good at invading celebrities profiles...

How would you feel if you were being followed around by the paparazzi?

I wouldn'nt mind to an extent, but i don't think paparazzi has an extent...they will do whatever for any shot.

but i need to get over it...lol...cuz they'll never be shooting me anyways unless I marry Paris Hilton's little brother (lol) ...does anyone have a recent picture of him??

In to many cases the celebs who make the most effort to complain about it are the same people SMSing their schedules to the paps to increase their press exposure. I have sympathy for those who have celebrity thrust upon them (relatives, etc.) but anyone voluntarily entering the public eye knows precisely what to expect. It's part of the job description - you can't take a job as a mailman and the complain about all the early mornings and long walks, and you can't solicit public attention and then complain when people try and find out stuff about you.

when i was working for jackie treehorn i would occasionally have to deal with the paps... i found a good sense of humor and treating them nice got better results when i would ask them not to photograph or video my boss... occasionally i had to "talk" louder... but grandma always said "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar..." or was it vaseline? ... or maybe astroglide....

I must admit I can be a bit self centered and do like attention but I think being followed around constantly would get pretty annoying pretty quickly. Especially if you were getting asked the same few questions over and over again.

There is a service in I think New York where regular (well-off) folks can hire paparazzi to follow them for a while to see what it feels like.

I have to echo some of what Mindgames said and agree that many of the celebs who complain about how mobbed they are by paparazzi are the exact same ones whose publicist just got off the phone with Warner subsidiary TMZ.

I think are situations where some famous people get sucked into that privacy invasion against their will. The most common is when you get someone like a Britney Spears whose manager family got the paparazzi interested in her and, once magazines found that humiliating her paid, couldn't get away from them. (Not dating one might have helped though.) The most extreme example was when Ben Affleck, who didn't want to be harassed, was dating Jennifer Lopez, who sent out a press notice every time she left her house.

I think that, as a society, we need to figure out what some acceptable boundaries are. I think it is pertinent if a public figure who holds office,and agitates against gay rights, gets arrested in a bathroom soliciting gay sex. I do not think it is pertinent if an actor, whose job is assuming a particular role on-screen to entertain, goes to a gay bar one night with friends.

In the age of the internet, almost everyone has some bit of themselves publicly accessible. That does not mean they are all public figures and deserve no privacy of any kind.

i find it pretty funny. Whenever i read a tabloid thats been left in the bus/train i have good laugh at the pics of Sarah Jessica Parker's "Giant Hands!" and Katie whoever-the-fuck’s “horrible varicose veins”. If people want to be all sexy for the cameras then the cameras have a duty to point out how grotesque these suckers usually are.

Really? Should I be obligated to shoot/dig up an unflattering photo of every person I photograph in a flattering way? Just because someone has been immortalized in an attractive way, does that mean they deserve to also be immortalized in an unattractive way to even things out somehow?

None of us are as ugly as our worst photo or as beautiful as our best.

Agree that there are/should be limits, but it'll never be possible to agree, nor to stop the press pushing them, because every case is different. In Europe the concept of privacy is better-defined than in the US, and in the UK it's better-defined than in Europe, but we still get court hearings every few weeks. The Max Moseley case shocked the paps into stepping back a bit, but still didn't set any rules. You can publish stuff if it's "in the public interest", but you can only define that by showing the public what you got.
