what do you think about jimmy falon's late night?

i must confess, i have NEVER liked jimmy falon. ever,
i hate his stupid smile, his tiny face, his lameass way he used to choke on the jokes, stutter on words and stare off at the audience when he was on snl which ruined the gag in alot of ways.

he frankly reminds me of the one person in every group who thinks they're funny but isnt really funny,yaknow?

anyways, nbc decided to plunk him down in conan obrians old spot since conan is filling in lenos shoes......i guess they couldnt afford craig ferguson or someone better from the snl alumni.....

I tried to watch the monologue on his show last night, first time i've ever seent he show. it sucked so badly i didnt finish watching it-he was making some lameass joke about sting selling wine from his vineyard and made a lame gag about hoping someone buys the merlot in the bottle as in parodising the police song message in a bottle which was just bad.

anyways, what do you think about him? is he a good replacement? or do you think he sucks and they should just get someone else and toss him on after carson daily?

Haven't seen the show yet, but I always found him pretty foxy.

I really liked his recurring Massachusetts character with the video camera on SNL too. I did go to school with a lot of people from that area, though, and I did live in Boston briefly. So maybe it's geographical.

in his defense he's never actually hosted a show like that, and I Imagine it would take some getting used to and growing into. I like jimmy fallon. I met him once at del taco, and he was really nice.

however, my favorite snl comic is tina fey; hands down, no ifs ands or buts about it. I like almost everything she's done.

I personally think Jimmy Fallon was way overrated on SNL. Although he is a likeable guy, so he'll probably do good on Late Night.

Will Ferrell's great. On a talk show though? I think Jimmy would do better.

yeah probably but i just was sooo not impressed by jimmy on his show. think im gonna start watrching craig ferguson again.

Overall, Falon was overrated on SNL, his stand-up isn't much better, and the only good movie he's done that I can think of is Fever Pitch (Taxi sucked), but he's got a lot of charisma, so he'll probably be able to pull off late night talk shows. And usually the first few are pretty crappy until the host gets use to it, it happened with a few previous talk show hosts, especially because everyone compares them to Leno, Letterman, and Johnny Carson, which are all big shoes to fill.

I catch Craig Ferguson every now and then out here, and his stuff is pretty good, but with how flamboyant he is, it's not a surprise he fits in well in that spot. I always liked him on the Drew Carey Show. Especially during the coke rehab season. I enjoyed the episode with Desmond Tutu (sp?). He was funny even when he was trying to be somewhat serious.

yeah ferguson can be pretty flamboyant at parts like his ask prince charles skits. I like he actually picks some interesting bands on his show too to spotlight. like when he had lady sovereign on there and the ting tings
