I noticed a couple of posts had some editing done to them, is there some reason why words like r.a.p.e. are being starred out? It doesn't really bother me, but I am curious.

I don't want creeps searching for that type of thing in Google or Yahoo to find us on those key words. Ew.Originally Posted by hewhoisagod

Whoa. Not the kind of place I thought I'd find censorship.
... I guess.
I can understand were Amelia is comming from. it's not censorship it's a legitmate act to protect the board from unneeded bullshit. like fascist parenst and religous perverts
i definitely agree with that
I'm biting my tongue here. I don't want to reply to this...like fascist parenst
... but what the hell. Fascism is the ultimate censorship. I won't say more.
I swear.
Really.
Don't make me.
... I dare you.
do you double dog dare me?
I triple-dog dare you.
Hell, I'll cuadrup- quadrupp- quadra... ah, fuck it. I dare you a lot.
Hmm.. I actually agree with both sides. I'm not a big fan of censorship either, be it of any kind, since I believe that everyone should get the chance to see anything from every single point of view.
But I also wouldn't want any demented morons flood the boards because they googled for site:blueblood.net +**** +child :|
So I don't try to see that not as censorship but rather as a protection (yeah I know, many governments in the recent history stated that they aren't censoring, they're protecting their people. But still..)
And yet, everyone knows what's meant anyway, right? ,)
We want to keep to truly sick fucks to a bare minimum, though.
good point. although I too am opposed to censorship ( I can't yell fire in a crowded theater, say bomb on an airplane, or threaten the president- so much for our so-called 'free' speach) but I agree with the reasoning for this instance, besides, I don't really think that is a word that's probbily going to be thrown around so much and casually here anyways, as to make it an issue. in fact, I only noticed it once before this topic and I just figured it was the author themself that choose to censor the word and dismissed it.
Pretty much what postcoital said. It's not really censorship given that I think we can still discuss the topic intelligently and know what is being talked about.
