Wow, that totally sucks. To be killed in a parking lot while on leave from the Navy just seems so very wrong.
Seriously, the irony police need to do a resurrection there.
Take care, koolagh.
why is that ironic? I think the irony would be if he was fishing with his dad in the local pond and a torpedo came up and blew him to smithereens. fighting someone and getting stabbed doesn't seem that out of the ordinary to me- go to new york city.

Given to the use of irony. See Synonyms at sarcastic.
Poignantly contrary to what was expected or intended: madness, an ironic fate for such a clear thinker.
Jeeezuse! That is entirely bizarre and wrong! I mean he confessed that he "probably" stabbed some one 10 times? How do you "probably" stab some one TEN TIMES!?!? That is still just out there. Never had problems like that at the faires in Fla....

yeah. I know the definition. how about actaully answering my question?
Being stabbed to death at a Renaissance Festival is kinda ironic...cause it's pretty much something out of the blue...though irony may be too strong a word here.
That bloodline seems cursed though...
have you ever been to the renaissance time period? of course not cuz then you'd have to travel through time like in that shitty movie Timeline, but if you studied the renaissance period you'd see that a lot of people were stabbed to death during it.
Hey look there goes the point you missed!Originally Posted by Morning Glory
It's a Renaissance Festival not the actual Renaissance...it's a place people go to dress up in assorted costumes that range from historical to fantasy. And while in the fiction and reality it's based on people die many grusome deaths...actual deaths at these things is pretty rare to none...hence the shock and surprise to many here. It's like going to play paintball and someone being shot and killed with a REAL gun...it's out of place.
Similar thing in the UK recently. A soldier came back from Iraq on leavce and was walking to his house to attend his 21st birthday celebration and was mugged on the way there. Died in the street.
too bad they didn't have guns, then they would be good americans, and they could have maybe killed a few little kids and families in thier stupid pissing contest.
Uh...Ok...that makes no sense since many "good americans" don't own guns or stab people at Renaissance Festival parking lots.Originally Posted by Morning Glory
As far as killing a few kids...don't remember that being the national past time in the U.S......I think China has that practice cornered.*
*Yeah Yeah cheap shot I know.
He said "probably" even though the victim was stabbed 19 times because he wasn't the only one doing the stabbing.Originally Posted by keiko
