I have been Vegitarian for more than 10 years. I was "allowed by my parents" upon the arrival of my 13th birthday. I don't eat fish, beef, chicken etc. etc. Nothing that was ever living. But I do eat bi-products such as eggs (rarely, they are kind of gross) and CHEESE! I really love cheese a lot. But I am just a vegitarian because I don't like how meat tastes. I have no moral conflict with people who like meat. My mom was a hippie for a long time, I think she rubbed off on me.

I did once hear that broccoli is the only vegitable that can feel physical pain when you kill it. Now, I have been confused ever since. Does anyone know anything about this?

Also, I wear leather shoes. I cannot help it.

I hate kissing people after they eat fish. They taste disgusting.

Im a meat eater and have had enough lovers in my 37 years tell me im the sweetest they've tasted...so..i dont know about the tasting bette rif your vegan theory...but I do know that vegetarians have far too much GAS

That's true. Vegetarians process their food through the normal processes but, like a steaming bale of hay as it does its own processing, there is a lot of gas produced. Most of us have no problems controlling this in polite company since we're used to it, but I'm always careful about what I eat when - a big meal two hours before a three hour theatre visit isn't recommended.

I am vegan because i have food allergies and it's easier to be vegan then to nit pick through what i can ans can't have. The deits would be basically the same anyway. But if I ever get stranded in the woods, that squirrel better pray it can run faster than me. When it becomes an issue of survival, I'll eat whatever runs across my path.

Interesting that we are happy eating animals, but hunt and kill any animal which eats a human.

I'll eat meat, just simply because I love bacon and hotdogs. I have a friend who is a vegitarian and my sister used to be one. I am content eating meat and have no urge to stop doing it although, I can see the reasoning behind it, It is simply killing one animal so we can eat when we do have alternate sources of food however a good steak is hard to beat.
