There follows a skirmish which the general wins easily; and two regiments come over to his side. Three days later, the enemy has only eighty men and the general five thousand. The general writes another proclamation and seventy-nine more men join up with him. Only one enemy is left, surrounded by the army of the general, who waits in silence. The night passes and the enemy has not come over to his side. The general curses and weeps in his tent. At dawn the enemy slowly unsheathes his sword and advances on the general's tent. He goes in and looks at him. The army of the general disbands. The sun rises.

I think I'd die for a child, or for someone I love, or... for anyone, really. I'd even die to save Bush, who I dislike fervently. I just don't think I could live knowing I let someone die.

At 8 am, I'm at school... except holidays and weekends. So, if you manage to find me, and come here, then I'll be a human shield. But you'd have to sit through math, and things like that. Very, very boring.

Hmmmm....well I COULD use that time to check my email and lob spit balls at the math teacher then point to you as the culprit. You have a DEAL!...It's ok if I walk aroundin my path robe, slippers, and PJ's right? cause I'm really not a morning person.

It's a public school, what do they care what you're wearing?
Actually, there's another thing to die for.... a better school system.

I would die for just about anything. I'm a former marine. I believe in dying for something. Odds are however, like most, I'll probably only end up dying FROM something. It's fun to dream though... that at that moment you'd be the hero. That you'd be valiant and noble and selfless... that panic and fear would not cripple you... that your legs wouldn't turn to jelly... perhaps I'll start donating organs I have too many of. Can anyone need a spleen? I don't think I'm using mine.

No problem, at all. Your input is especially welcomed given your experience.

I've ALWAYS told myself, I'd take bullet, or die for anyone. I'm NEVER going to say if I had a choice in who would die "Hey fuck you, I'm saving my ass. Kill him/her." I'd never do that. I'd save them. I'd take one for them. I'd rather die saving someone, doing something good, etc.

The hero thing got me stitches when I was like 6-8 years old. I thought I could be superman and jump up and fly... damn the gravity! I got stitches on my upper left corner of my lip.

You've got a valid point there. I wouldn't want to have to spend my eternity with the seventy six vestal Virginians sans my spleen. You're My hero.

I would definatley die for my girlfriend or my family. It's only death and we all have to experience it eventually, besides I'm kinda curious to see what happens afterwards lol. Not that I plan on accellerating the process.
