What are some bands you found out about recently?
Did you like them? Did you hate them? Why?

Haven't heard anything new or interesting in a long time.
Someone just asked us to play with three bands I have never heard of. But the boys were sort of cute....
I don't really follow music anymore, I don't like rap and hip hop at all. Everything is just too commercial now.
No new bands. just new albums of the old ones... the new inFlames is great, the new Cradle of Filth is just another copy-paste album, but good enough if you need some new songs to listen to that you don't already know by heart
, the new Iced Earth is terrible
(but that's just my oppinion), and i'm still waiting for the new Kovenant album...

Thats about it.
Well, I finally checked out the Genitorturers, as some people recommended I check out some of their clips. They Rock!
Even though its a song title, That should be a catch phrase: " The Flesh Is The Law!"
I saw Ministry on Sunday night. The two opening acts were fucking fantastic. The opening band was Opiate For The Masses. The following band was Hansel und Gretyl. I highly recommend Hansel und Gretyl to anyone here.
If someone is looking for a band to check out. I recomend hopesfall. they make some awsome music & are even better live. I suggest the following songs.
Dana Walker
End Of An Era
The Broken Heart Of A Traitor
New Day
Endeavor
Escape Pod For Intangibles
April Left In Silence
The Far Pavillions
The Ones
A Man Exits
I just started listening to a Japanese visual-kei band called Blood. They're really good. I actually could have had the chance to see them at Ohayocon last year, but my friends had no money to go.
The Break
I keep saying Error but honest you should check em out
Hardcore wise There's nothing really new or intelligent out there alot of it is kina an emo nu metal frat boy sitting at home cooking pasta and feeling sorry for himself type of vien....sorry I was brought up on Gorrilla Busicuits and Minor Threat and Bad Brains. I like real, Intelligent engaging bands that are kick as musicians and intelligent.
it depends what yer tatse is I am a wee bit ecleptic in my taste soo it depends what you like.
switchblade symphony and suffocation are two new ones for me. suffocation is sort of like cannibal corpse but thats a good thing. i love HEAVY metal. and especially heavy metal gothic women...YOW!!
The Orchard is a local death metal band that's sort of starting to export itself... worth a listen if that's your scene. Most of the other new-ish bands I've been listening to as of late have been pretty cookie-cutter, sad to say. I've been listening to far too much generic electronica for my own good.
Switchblade Symphony is awsome, I indulge in my sweet little witches CD (live) ...it's too bad Susan & Tina broke up. I would love to hear some new S/S songs.
I like bad brains but I don't really listen to them much because they are anti-gay. it doesn't take away from thier musical talent, but if I can't respect a band then I will hesitate to listen to them.Originally Posted by CPRB
Also, I seldomly get amused by death metal bands (i'm under the impression that Carcass is the best one to date :-P), theyre not new at all, but these guys are just too good to miss... Vital Remains. i've only heard one song, but it was good enough to make me wanna check them out. Very fast. Very brutal, but not in the cliche-death metal gallopping riffs kind of way. some melodic lines as well.
I know that I'm in the minority and I'll probably get strung up (i wish) for this but I recently was given an album by Jurassic 5 (Quality Control) and I have been playing it almost non-stop for a week. If anyone here, other than myself, likes beats with intelligent lyrics...check it out.Originally Posted by BrightStar
^^^Try Gangsta Dre's Inner City Poet CD (if you can find it) or Deltron 3030 (If you don't already have it)
